4. What kit do I need?
•Black or Navy Blue Tracksuit, Dance Trousers
or leggings
•A black t shirt – girls,
Fitted t-shirts are fine
•No socks!
5. If you are injured
•You must bring a note and give it to me
before going into the changing rooms.
•You will still be involved in learning so don’t
expect an lesson off.
•No kit + No note = Faculty Detention

11. Red Cross – Make Your Move
•A national physical theatre competition
•Selected students from Year 7 – 10 will
perform
•Last year we won our heat an came 4th in
the National Finals where we performed at
the O2 in London and were judged by
Diversity!
•We also won, most emotive performance
and outstanding performance skill.
13. What is The National Schools Competition?
• It is a dance competition open to all primary and secondary
schools in England.
• There are 3 competitions
• Primary Schools
• Key Stage 3 – Years 7-9
• Key Stage 4 and 5 – Years 10-13
• Crookhorn is very successful at National Level.
• In 2015 we got a KS4 team to the National Finals who placed 15th.
• In 2016 we got a KS3 team to the National Finals who placed 3rd!
14. How to take part
• Don’t worry if you’ve never danced before – lots of our best
dancers only danced for the first time in Year 7!
• You can enter any dance you like in any style to any music
providing the words are appropriate!
• There is a sign up sheet on Its Learning to join a group. If you
would like to take part but you don’t have your Its Learning Log
In yet, please make sure Miss Williams has your name
• Miss Williams will be running afterschool rehearsals on
Mondays both weeks and Wednesdays in Week B. You can also
sign in to do independent rehearsal at lunchtimes
15. When does the dance have to be ready?
• You have until 20th November to get your dance ready for the Winter
Show which will be the first performance of your piece.
16. What happens after the videos are sent off?
• After the videos are sent off, the selection panel
decide who is through to the regional finals.
Last year we got 9 teams through to this stage,
this year we’re aiming for 10!
• Regional Finals are in London on Monday 16th
January 2018
• National Finals are in July
