Fix Google Chrome Crashes

  1. 1. How to Fix Google Chrome Crashes? In most cases it appears that Google Chrome crashes as there are incompatibility issues with some plug-ins, sandbox security issue, or unsupported features like software rendering are enabled. This article will help you diagnose the crashes. Resolve Plug-In Compatibility Issues There are compatibility issues with some plug-ins installed. Resolve the plug-in compatibility issues as follows: 1. In the Address Bar type “about:plugins” 2. Press the ENTER key. 3. A new page will open. 4. Disable all the extensions that you see in the new page. 5. Exit and re-open the browser again. Turn Off the Sandbox Feature The sandbox is a security feature in Chrome. Chrome crash occurs when the Sandbox feature isn’t supported by your system. In that case you’ll need to turn it off. 1. Right click the Google Chrome desktop icon. 2. Select Properties. 3. Google Chrome Properties dialog will open. 4. Click the Shortcut tab. 5. Move the mouse cursor at the end of the value specified in the Target textbox. 6. Type “ --no-sandbox” (without quotes; one space in beginning) without replacing the existing value. Type that command at the end only. 7. Click Apply | OK.
  2. 2. Turn Off the Software Rendering Feature Disable the software rendering feature from the Internet Options dialog. 1. Press Windows Key + R simultaneously. 2. Type “inetcpl.cpl” in the Open textbox in the Run dialog. 3. Internet Options dialog will open. 4. Click the Advanced tab, and uncheck the box named “Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering” under the “Accelerated graphics” frame. 5. Click the OK button. Use the Chrome Diagnostic Tool The best and simple thing I can recommend is using a Diagnostic Tool. The steps are given below: 1. Download and install the Zombie Soft Fix. 2. Run the program. 3. Select the option named “I’m facing some other issue” 4. Select “Other” from the drop down box. 5. Select your operating system. 6. Select the frequency of the problem. 7. Check-up the box named “I accept the terms and conditions”. 8. Click the Next button and follow the on-screen instructions.
