PASSION & GOAL
I’m passionate about creating a thoughtful design that
has a touch of simplicity and provides impact. My goal
as a designer is helping small business owners and
corporate companies to bring out the best of their
business using Graphic Design.
No matter how big or small, I take my passion,
knowledge and expertise into each and
every project.
5. MY
INSPIRATION
One of my inspirations who kept me thinking outside the
box in terms of designing is 'Rob Janoff' who designed
the iconic Apple logo.
He came up with the most simple and impactful solution
for the issue he faced in designing the logo where he
quoted, “To make it look more like an apple and not
some other round fruit, I did what one does with an
apple, I took a bite out of it.”
He inspired and showed me that good design can be
produced through simplicity and thinking

8. ILLUSTRATION 1 - Arcylic Painting
This was my very first experience doing realistic acrylic painting with a theme of
'Malaysian Culture'. This assignment made me appreciate the beautiful culture I had around
me in Malaysia. Colors matter more to me now, where the world is not all black, white and
grey; Nataly Kogan’s quote “I paint because I can’t not paint”, is certainly close to my heart.
This was one art experience that lead me to the answer of 'What makes a good art?'. I
always wondered about this and through completing this particular acrylic painting, I
realized that the design process really matters.
I aspire to continuously look at the processes to find opportunities to improve and produce
the best outcome for projects of any scale.
10. GRAPHIC DESIGN 1 - Magazine Cover Design
The concept for this magazine cover was based on vector art. Based on my research, I
noticed that people buy first emotionally where it is important to emphasize powerful
words through design to instantly draw them to purchase the magazine. Thus, I used
prominent colors to emphasize on the powerful word 'STAR WARS'.
Another important element I studied was skin color where I simplified the whole concept
by thinking of skin as a form of desaturated orange, which is essentially a ratio of all three
primaries, red, yellow and blue.
This assignment broke the perception I had where all you needed to come up with good
work were curiosity, patience and passion which I would definitely apply into all of my
future projects.
12. TYPOGRAPHY 1 - Font Creation
Sometimes my mind wanders, imagining how fonts would appear if created based
on things around us such as flowers, chocolates, feathers and other things.
I received the opportunity to turn my imagination into reality through this
assignment where I decided to choose 'French Fries' as the concept.
I stuck to this statement 'Use or Create Typography As An Art' through the journey
of this assignment. With Typography knowledge like x-height, kerning, and
baseline I came up with a very simple concept based on something everyone loves
and can connect to; French Fries. I went all the way and produced this font, which
would be suitable for headings in posters.
Going beyond is a tool that lead me to new opportunities, and it is something I
undoubtedly apply into all of my projects.
15. DESIGN THEORY & ELEMENT
- Insect Sculpture Art
In this assignment, I explored the body structure of a 'Cricket', to build a sculpture using
recycled items adhering to design theory and elements. The main takeaway which I
constantly use in my projects is to follow the design process which begins with defining to
analyzing. I took a longer period of time in researching but at end of the day it was really
worth it because the research provided the fuel for new ideas for this assignment.
I was able to apply all the design theories I learnt into this project; line and texture which
I emulated on the hind wings using a gold marker pen. Besides developing my technique of
sculpting, I have also developed my observation skills and willingness to modify the work
which is a very important thing that I can apply for my future projects.
18. ADVERTISING 1 - Branding Poster
I designed an eye-catching poster for the famous brand M&M, to announce their new flavor
which was released specially for Christmas - 'Gingerbread'. For this branding poster I used
something unique and memorable by diving into my imagination to come out with a design
that stands out amongst competitors; combining the concept of a red Christmas ball and
gingerbread, using the M&M round shape.
I accomplished the goal of the poster by coming up with illustrations and icons to make it
easier for the audience to relate to the concept. I came to realize that the greater the
number of options, the greater the likelihood of finding something that's perfect for the
client where in my case it was my lecturer for this assignment. In my future projects, I
strive to provide more options and utilize effective visuals to communicate the concept.
22. LED A YOUNG DESIGN TEAM FOR ONE
OF THE WORLD'S LARGEST STUDENT
LED CONFERENCE (SEPT 2021)
YOUNGSTERS ACROSS MALAYSIA
I learnt that leading a team wasnt only about delegating the tasks to the
team members but it includes make sure all team members are doing
okay and overviewing the whole project including
As a head of design in Ascendance, International Youth
Movement, I got an opportunity to guide a young team
aged between 12 years old to 17 years old to produce
design visuals including posters, banners, slides, social
media content posters and others.
It was a huge project as it was a 4 days online conference
and we had to do almost 50+ slides design for the
conference. One of the imporatnt soft skill we applied
here is collaboration and I believe without it, we wouldnt'
be pulled off this huge project. We had to face scenarios
such as, sudden agenda change and sudden speaker
change and we had to think and act fast in this screnarios
to make sure all design materials are updated.

25. EMCEE AND SPOKE INFRONT 6, 900+
VIRTUAL AUDIENCES (MAY 2021)
Emcee and spoke infront 6, 900+ virtual audiences through
New Age Learner Virtual Conference May 2021. It was a whole
new experience for me to be the emcee and speaker, as you
have to be presentable and be able to convey the message or
story to the virtual audiences. Being a designer who works
behind the scenes most of the time made me to see the whole
new aspects and view as a emcee and speaker. This
experience taught me it is not just about converying a
message or message but it is the matter o how you would you
engage the audience through the story you are sharing. This
actually gave me a chance to come out from my nutshell as I
am a very shy and timid girl.
My co emcee, co speakers and I came up with creative ideas like making
up some characters and doing skits which can engage the audiences as
the target audiences are primary and secondry schools. There was a lot
of impromtu informations need to conveyed to audience, and this actually
taught me how to go with the flow and act fast.project timeline, work
quality and updates.

28. FOUNDED & BUILT MY BUSINESS
CALLED KICKSTART ARTV
ENTERPRISE SINCE 2018
It started when I was just 16 years old. At that point in
time, despite being in Form 4, I had no goals in life and I
was very shy and timid as well. I used to sketch secretly
in books and never revealed my passion for arts to
anyone as I knew it will raise the question "How are you
going to make money from this?".
Eventually with the environment and curiousity I had, I
was given the amazing opportunity of designing logos for
small starts ups and illustrating books. This kickstarted
my career in illustration and designing.
Unlike my peers, when I completed my SPM, I had a clear
vision of the pathway I wanted to pursue. I begin to get
more leads and meet them to talk about their business to
see how I can help solve their brand positioning issues by
producing eye catchy logos, designing name cards, and
others.
It definitely wasn't an easy journey for me being an student
entrepreneur where maintaining good result in semesters and
producing quality work for my clients at the same time. It was
possible because of my passion I had towards the works I do and
mentors around me who able to see my potentail inside me and
guide me to achieve my goals.
29. DESIGNED A LOGO FOR A
RESTAURANT (OCT 2021)
I got a lead from Facebook from my previous clients and
friends recommendations, she were looking for a logo design
for her restaurant she opened very recently. She is the client
who have clear idea on how her restaurant logo looks like. I
passed her my client brief list to get her fill up informations
which will help me to design her logo. She wants to include
peacock element in her logo and wants to have some elegant
look logo, thus we agreed to use some maroon and gold color
scheme.
I followed my design process, research, ideation, refining and
designing while keeping in mind the aspects client looked for.
At the end, I proposed her 3 options, and she picked the one
she feel like it will works, she gave some suggestions and
ideas to improve on the logo. This is a curcial stage, where I
need to be very open minded on receiving the feedbacks
given by client and focus on improving the logos. After the 2
rounds of amendments, my client is satisfied with the
outcome.
31. SUCCESSFULLY CONDUCTED
"BASIC GRAPHIC DESIGN
SKILLS" WORKSHOPS
I have been in designing field for more than 4 years and I
decided to share the knowledge I have to other people in all
age of groups including corporate people, ssm business
owners, students, freelancers and others through this
workshop. It was overwhelming to see such an engaging
participants and curious to know more about designing.
I teaches people how to do graphic design in a fun and efficient
way and give my participants a glimpse into the life of a
graphic designer. I will always look for a real life scenarios to
connect to designing so that it will be more fun and easier for
the participants to understand and apply what they learn.
At the very begginning I had the fear to share the word around to
strangers about the workshop but what helped me was the target I set
for the workshop. The target motivates me to keep on trying new ways
to get people in includes using facebook as the medium.

33. DESIGNED MARKETING
MATERIALS AND BANNER
FOR A SALON (DEC 2021)
I got an amazing opportunity to work for an a beauty salon
that specializes in make-up services, facial spas, manicures,
and more for their marketing materials. I directly deal with
the CEO of company to communicate and get the client brief.
One request the client gave is to maintain similar design
concept which have done by previous designer and it was
pretty challenging for me to study the design concept and
elements used by the previous designer. At the end, I
managed to full fill the client requested and she was very
satisfied with the flyer design outcome.
She decided to get more services from me because of my good and
efficient works. I designed the chritmas promotion social media post
andbanner design for her shop. She requested to use some bright color
which can also be seen by the audience at night time and after the
research, I came to notice that green, white and pink would be great
color combinations. She was very happy with the final outcome because
now she gave a very clear and beautiful banner for her shop which
convery her services .

35. DESIGNED SONG ALBUM
COVER DESIGN FOR
INTERNATIONAL AWARD
WINNING SINGERS (JUN 2021)
Really honored to work with talented and successful
young international Singer-Songwriter, heerraa, 22 years
old from Malaysia and Autumn Helene, 14 years old from
United States for their new unreleased song album cover
called 'Morning Light'. I was fortunate enough to get
chance to listen to a few lines of the unreleased song to
make sure I came up with the relatable concept design
with the song. I would say I took the risk to work on this
project because this is very first time doing a concept of
full potrait and landscape digital illustration using the
software called Adobe Photoshop.
The first challenge I faced was choosing the right pic reference, because both of the singers are from
2 different countries and there is no picture of them together. Somehow, I managed to choose the right
lighting pictures and combine them as reference for me to do digital illustration with the lighting
knowledge I had. I have done a few number of amendments because 1 of their potrait faces doesnt turn
as expected but with more research abour faceproportion and shadings I managed to pulled it off and
both clients were very satisfied with the works.

37. ILLUSTRATED A BOOK
WHICH HAVE SOLD OVER
2000 COPIES (MAY 2020)
Illustarted a book called 'The Makings of A Teenage Entrepreneur' with
total of 132 pages and 25 spots illustrations. I am so grateful for this
journey working as an book illustrator with a very successful author
who have accomplished many things in her life. One of the challenge I
faced in this project is very short timeline project where the
illustrations need to be done in 2 to 3 weeks of time as they need to
publish in very soon. Instead of pushing away the project because of the
scary timeline, I decided to give a try and find a simple and easier way
to come up with the illustrations to meet the deadlines.
The client I worked with is very open minded and welcome any ideas I have which
make the book a huge success which also made the whole discussion about
style of illustations much easier and faster. I understood the vision of the
book and offered my own proffesional point of view about the style of illustration
which is Line Art as it is much more simplified processand will take a short period
of time to complete. The lesson I learnt is being an illustrator is not just about
producing a detailed and beautiful illustrations, but also able find a solution and
offer the ideas and point of view which can be done in the timeline given.
38. After weeks of efforts and discussions, the book published
successfully and 2k copies have been sold out. The author is
really happy of outcome of the illustrations and it can really
relateto the text to connect the readers. The author loved my
work including the efficiency in finding solution and finishing up
the work on time and she decided to get me involved in her future
projects such as merchandise T-Shirt design and packaging box
design.
