2. about the project ‘a joint project between the Lee Valley Park and the RSPB’ 3-year project running until December 2012 funded by the heritage lottery fund and the Peter Cruddas Foundation engaging with communities working with primary and secondary schools tailored activities for families and groups learning new skills and volunteering experience
3. who is it for? ‘working together to bring 28,000 people closer to nature’ 17,000 Children and young people disabled people and their carers people on low incomes Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic and Refugee communities families with young children people without easy access to green space new and existing park users
4. where will it happen? Myddleton House Gardens Tottenham Marshes Waterworks Nature Reserve Middlesex Filter Beds Bow Creek Ecology Park East India Dock Basin
5. new skills and experiences ‘There are lots of things to do, learn about and enjoy’ amazing wildlife garden at the WaterWorks City and Guilds horticulture courses for 18-25 year olds family courses to learn about wildlife camping trips for young people in the Lea Valley work experience for 16 to 18 year olds wildlife events and activities volunteering opportunities for all

7. visit the WaterWorks nature reserve ‘Discover the wildlife on your doorstep’ find out about your local natural heritage learn about the history of the WaterWorks site Practical activities such as planting seeds, making nest boxes, hanging baskets, window boxes see what facilities are available help the wildlife in your area It’s your place!
