2. Our Prophet Muhammad Sallahu-allihi-wassalam was 40 years when
he became a Prophet
The revelation was
revealed in “Cave Hira”
on “Mount Noor”
One day when Prophet Muhammad
sallahu-allihi-wasallam was sitting in
the cave alone, Angel Jibrael came
and grabbed the prophet sallahu-
aliehi-wasallam and asked him to
read. But the prophet said that I cant
read but still angel Jibrael sad him to
read. After several times when the
Prophet Muhammad sallahu-allih-
wasallam said that I can’t read then
suddenly he felt that he could read
and he repeated after Angel Jibrael.
And the first ayats of Quran were
revealed.
“Read! In the Name of your Lord,
Who has created (all that exists), has
created man from a clot (a piece of
thick coagulated blood). Read! and
your Lord is the Most Generous.’”

4. It was a difficult task to preach such a religion against the religion of the
Makkah (idolatry). So the Prophet started preaching Islam from his house
and then moved to the people closely associated with him
He preached Islam to whomsoever he thought would attest the
truth sent by Allah.
Hazrat Abu Bakr helped the prophet in preaching Islam. Hazrat Abu
Bakr Preached Islam to only those he had the confidence to speak in
front of them!!
The Prophet used to meet the new converters and teach the
religion in privacy because the call of Islam was still running on an
individual and secret basis.
In the three years time people entered the fold of Islam in hosts,
men women and the new Islam cold not be kept as a secret!
5. The Prophet and the Muslims
used to pray only 2 prayers
one before sunrise and the
second after sunset before
the number of Salats
increased to 5 and made
obligatory.
It is reported by the chains of
narrators that when the
Prophet received the first
revelation Angel Jibrael
thought him how to make
Wudhu (Ablution). And then
sprinkled water on his loins
6. And warn your tribe of near kindred,”[26:214]
A meeting was called by the Prophet and he discussed the matter of the
open preaching.
The reply of
Abu Talib
“I swear by Allah this
is a bad thing. You
must stop him before
the others do!”
After the prophet
became sure of his
protection he climbed
up the mount safa and
preached Islam to
different tribes.
7. At the beginning of the fourth year of call and for the period of some
months, the non-Muslims started torturing Muslims.
Hazrat Umer was
one of the torturer
too.
Each leader began persecuting anyone in their tribe found to be following
the religion of Islam.
Uncle of Hazrat
Usman bin Affan
used to wrap
him in palm
leaves and set
fire under him.
Umm musab bin
Umair kept her
son to starvation
and later
expelled her son
from the house
Hazrat Bilal was beaten by his master,
Ummaiyah bin Khalaf. a rope was also
put around his neck and the street
boys dragged him all over the street .
Hazrat Abu Bakr then freed him
Ammar bin Yasir and his parents were
made too lie on the burning sand and
were beaten. Yasir, the father died
because of continuous torturers,
Summaiyah was bayoneted by Abu Jahl,
the first matiered women in Islam
Even the women converts weren't spared,
and the list is very long. Zanirah, an-
Nahdiyah and her daughter, umm Ubais
and many others
8. One day Hazrat Umer was in full anger and he took his
sword in the intention of killing the Prophet sallahu-
allihi-wasallam. In the way he met a man who ask him
where he was headed to. When he told that he is going
to kill the Prophet Muhammad sallahu-allihi-wasallam.
The man then told him about the conversion of Bibi
Fatimah ( Hazrat Umers sister) and her husband, Hazrat
Umer then straight went to her sisters house and heard
the voice of the recitation of Quran. He came inside and
Fatimah hid all the papers and then he started beating
his brother in law but then Bibi Fatimah came in the way
and one of Hazrat Umer’s hands touched her and her
face started bleeding. He felt sorry for her sister and he
took a bath and read the ayats of Surah Ta’Ha and he
embraced Islam
Ibn mas’ud related that the Muslims were never able to pray at the Kaaba
until the conversion of Hazrat Umer
9. Al-Miraj is the journey of Prophet Muhammad sallahu alleihi
wasallam to the seven heavens.
This is the sequence
he met the prophets
in Jannah
1. Hazrat Adam
2. Hazrat Zakariyah
and Hazrat Isa
3. Hazrat Yousuf
4. Prophet Idris
5. Hazrat Harun
6. Hazrat Musa
7. Hazrat Ibrahim
The Prophet was also brought near to Allah and then
Allah Made the 50 daily prayers daily obligatory. In
his return he told Hazrat Musa about the prayers,
Hazrat Musa told him to him to go to Allah again and
ask him to reduce the numbers of prayers. Then the
prophet went to Allah and reduced the numbers of
prayers to 10. but again prophet Musa said to ask
Allah to reduce the numbers of prayers. Again the
prophet went to Allah and ask him to reduce the
number of prayers to 5.but again Prophet Musa said
him to reduce the numbers of prayers but he
refused.
He visited the heavens on a Buraq which was a horse with wings and could fly
like lightening
10. In this meeting the non-Muslims made a plan to kill our beloved prophet
Muhammad sallahu-allihi-wasallam They decided to kill him so that Islam is
vanished from the world.
Angel Jibrael on the
order of Allah told
Prophet Muhammad
sallahu-alihi-
wasallam about their
plan and told him to
leave Makkah and
migrate to Madinah.
Prophet Muhammad
sallahu-allihi-wasallam
told Hazrat Abu-bakr
about the migration
and decided to take
him to Madinah. And he
told Hazrat ali to sleep
in his bed on that day.
At night he and Abu Bakr
left for Madinah leaving
Hazrat Ali sleeping in his
bed and the Quraiesh
thinking that Prophet
Muhammad sallahu-
allihi-wasallam was
sleeping on the bed.
In the morning when the Quraiesh got to know about Hazrat Ali it was too late
prophet sallahu-aliehi-wasallam and Hazrar Abu bakr were far too away from
them.
