Meaning of HRM
• Human resource management is a process, which consists of
mainly four activities, i.e. acquisition, development, motivation
and maintenance of human resources.
• Human resource management is that phase of management
which deals with effective procurement and utilisation of
manpower or human resource.
• Human resource management is the process of planning,
organising, directing & controlling of human resource in such a
way that the organisational goals achieves effectively & efficiently.

• It is people centered process.
• It is a continuous process.
