The savannah biome has a tropical wet and dry climate with distinct wet and dry seasons. Temperatures range from around 21°C in the African savannah to 30-50°C in the Australian savannah. During the dry season, rainfall is low at around 10cm on average but increases to 37.5-62.5cm during the wet season. Savannah biomes cover 20% of the Earth's land and can be found between 30° north and 23° south latitude and 60° west to 150° east longitude, including locations in Australia, Tanzania, South Africa, Brazil, and China.
