Iphones currently• Iphones can currently surf the web without wiﬁ• they can take pictures on par with most digital cameras• Allow people to talk to each other while seeing the other persons face• Has a built in computer personality named Siri who can accomplish task by listening to your commands.
Iphones of the Future• The Iphone of the future will have many new features such as a more advanced form of Siri which can accomplish almost any task.• A camera that is state of the art and can even capture moving images with no problem.• A 3D display is sure to be on the way by 2022.• Control of everything you own from cars all the way to your house.• The Iphone will take the place of your standard wallet by this time.
Uses & Gratiﬁcations Theory• Suggest that media users play an active role in choosing and using media• Media users seek out a media source that best fulﬁlls the users need• User has an alternate choice to satisfy their needs
How U & G applies to IPhone• There are so many phone companies competing with apple that the company will be forced to drastically increase the effectiveness of the Iphone to keep it number one• Apple because of this theory must advance the Iphone to make it be able to do more for everyday life than to just be a phone
Video Games Currently• Allow you to control a virtual image seen on a tv• includes motion sensor gaming on all major consoles• Allows you to stream movies and internet to a system
The Future of Video Games• Motion sensor gaming has quickly become the forefront of the video game console battle. With this in mind it is not hard to believe that video games will be virtual reality by 2022.• You will be able to feel, smell, and see as though you were in a game.• Someone will be able to watch a movie on the console while another person can play a game at the same time.• ESPN is currently on video game consoles so be ready to see almost every TV station get involved in the deal.• Video Game consoles will no longer be just for people looking to play games.

How the Critical Mass theory applies to Video Games• Video games are already widespread but as people start to learn form others that they can be used for much more than gaming they will quickly spread to even more homes• Video games have already started to grow in popularity and will continue to because they will be shared by others.
Computers and TV• You can watch TV channels on one• You can make complex programs on the other• So why are these two included in the same category?
The Future of Computers and TV• The reason I chose to include these together is because I think that by 2022 TV’s will be Computers and Computers will be TV.• The Computer and TV market will eventually combine allowing people to run complex programs on their TV while watching a channel.• How much different does a MAC desktop really look from a TV now? The only thing missing which is already in use in a small portion of the population is having your TV on your computer.
Media Systems Dependency Theory• the more a person depends on media to meet needs, the more important media will be in a persons life, and therefore the more effects media will have on a person.
How Media Dependencyapplies to TV and Computers• The more effect that media has on somebodies life will cause people to want to be able to combine what a source of media can do• This will lead the the combination of many different sources of media
