Zora Neale Hurston was an influential American author known for her novels, short stories, plays, essays and folklore collections. Her most famous work, Their Eyes Were Watching God, is considered her greatest novel. The Eatonville Anthology consists of 14 short sketches based on folktales and memories from Hurston's childhood hometown of Eatonville, Florida.
