2. My God Fills the gap in the ugliness of the human face
He subdues the faults of imperfection-
This God searches, and makes His home not in places
Pure and holy, but in isolated caves where
Forlorn sinners have found iniquity a fickle master
3. He comes uninvited-
Man’s craftiness He matches with candor;
Man’s earthly passion He matches with the benign
Glow of omnipresence. When I am most good
He can not be found for He and I lose
Our identity. How else can the human face
Assume the perfect configuration
4. My God moves in when all else have fled:
Like the wind, He stirs wilted leaves to life and makes
The plant more vibrant. He suffuses desolate landscapes
With the barely perceptible warmth that shuns
The stunted body to find haven in mind.
5. Yet His too is the willingness of the Universe.
His power is unobtrusive till He seems no farther from
Myself than me, no farther from yourself than you-
Where I discover my faults, there He is
Waiting to make amends.
6. God is as human as economics or mathematics, he
Is supply and demand, or the algebraic equation which
In the final analysis is naught equals naught.
Within the geometry of love, my God reigns;
Where the spheroid whirls He is the vortex
Without beginning, without end.
7. My God worships me not merely
At times of peace nor in the exclusive ways
Of the church, My God worships
Me, or else He would not have conceived
Himself to atone for my imperfect self;
He comes uninvited, He is every where-
Making amends, making amends.
9. Heaven and earth He created,
Darkness and light were separated.
In His own image, He formed
As in dust, man were molded,
Breath gave breath, that’s how it all started.
10. I didn’t asked, but He gives,
I never shout but He always hears.
How generous You are!
I never gave Love, a rebel child of Yours
But still all of your love to me You pour.
11. As in perfection, human fail,
My minds’ conqueredby vile and vain
Holiness been dishonoredby creations,
So a pure life has been exchanged for
our salvation.
How loving You are Almighty One!
12. As now I realizedhow grateful I shouldbe,
As your likeness I wanted to be.
Murmur no more, past pains I trashed,
In me, fear andself centeredness be must
be vanished.
13. Oh almighty God, all of my praises is unto You
As once a sinner I was cleansedby You
Provedthat perfect love truly exist,
Because humanity still exist!
