Motivation is a psychological feature that
awakens organism to act towards a

desired goal, controls, and sustains certain
goal-directed behaviors.
A systematic attempt to organize tasks,
duties and responsibilities into a unit of
work to achieve certain objective
An individual output in terms of quality
and quantity expected from every
employee in a particular job.
If a job is perfectly designed by using correct ‘Job-Design
Approaches’

It will definitely effect upon motivation level of an
individual
An increase in motivation level of an employee will
increase in Performance level
Job simplification
Job enlargement
Job rotation
Job enrichment
Job simplification is a design method whereby jobs are
divided into smaller components and subsequently
assigned to workers as whole jobs.

Job enlargement expands job horizontally. It increases
job scope; that is, it increases the number of different

operations required in a job and the frequency with
which the job cycle is repeated
Job rotation refers to the movement of an employee from
one job to another. Jobs themselves are not actually
changed, only the employee are rotated among various jobs

Job enrichment is a way to motivate employees by
giving them more responsibilities and variety in their
jobs. a well enriched job should contain a range of tasks

and challenges of varying difficulties, meaningful tasks,
and feedback, encouragement, and communication
