190500Reflecting on my work: My research<br />4.1 was the part of the unit; record where we conducted research on things such as recording technology, music videos (as it was our chosen medium) and how recording technology has developed over time. I find my research to be very successful as I have learned new facts about recording technology and have learnt how the development of recording technology such as vinyl records to compact discs can improve the quality of a sound track.<br />I gathered my research in different ways depending on the piece of information I was seeking, for example, when I was investigating what factors our audience would like a music video to have, I conducted a survey to gather these results for my primary research:<br />For my primary research I also interviewed Yoshito Darmon; a camera man based in France and England, he taught me the rules of camera techniques such as the rule of thirds, the lead room and the head room. He also taught me how to adjust the white balance on a camera.<br />For my secondary research I went on the internet and found out facts about music released by modern artists, I then took relevant information and put it into a PowerPoint presentation.<br /> <br />I also visited a popular video website; YouTube to see what happens behind the scenes of modern music video. This gave me an idea of the production process of making a music video.<br />I think this section of this unit went very well, I gathered all the information I needed and wanted to know before we started the unit. I don’t think there is anything I could have done to improve this section, i gathered my information effectively.<br />
