20. How to draw a face 1. Draw an oval shape 2. Draw a straight line down the centre of the head 3. Divide the oval shape into 3 equal horizontal parts leaving a slight gap at the top, which will be the hairline 4. Observe the lines for the eyes and mouth 5. Draw the eyes (taking into account face width = 5 eyes) 6. Draw the nose 7. Upper lip 8. Lower lip 9. Draw the ears 10. The eyebrows 11. Hairline 12. Top part of the hair and the jaw 13. The chin 13. Draw lines for the eyelids and cheeks 14. Erase the extra ‘alignment’ lines Now, check your work against the grid, and make necessary corrections
