3. WAYS TO KNOW ABOUT YOURSELF
Introspection
Pay attention and take notes of your own experiences, actions and reactions
Pay attention to how you feel inside while you participate in a variety of activities can give you some insight into
your own behavioral preferences
Pay attention to your body language and note when you feel bored and tired or interested in a particular activity.
Also note down your personnel preferences
Observation
In addition to what you see in yourself, the observations of others can also be helpful. During observation, keep in
mind the following key concepts,
Situation …… What is going on
Specific behavior ….. What happened
Impact …….. What is the result
Feedback giving and receiving
Feedback information can be given in a helpful or a harmful way. Actually sharing observation in an interpretation
of reality. So be kind and real to yourself and to others when sharing your observations.
Feedback from others is the impression or opinion of the observers. Try to evaluate the feedback and think deeply
on that for yourself improvement
Assessment tools
Try to use assessment tools like taking personality tests for comprehending your personality
Put some structure around observations, inner thoughts, feedback and score of the assessment tool to make
some sense out of all the information
Assess your positive and negative points. Start playing game on your strengths and trying to improve your
weakness.

Aim (Definition)
An aim is related with something intended or desired to be obtained by one’s
efforts.
E.g. The educational aim is an expression of what a student hope he can
accomplish.
My aim in this project is … to map, to develop, to design, to track, to generate, to
theorise, to build, etc
6. KNOW YOUR OBJECTIVES
Objective (Definition)
The objective is a desirable outcome of intended action through the mode of education (pertaining to
that whose delineation is known).
E.g. The educational objective is an expression of what a teacher hope his student can accomplish as
a result of his teaching.
In order to achieve this aim, I will… collect, construct, produce, test, trial, measure, document,
pilot, deconstruct, analyse… Objectives are often presented as a (1) (2) (3) formatted list – this
makes visible the sequence of big steps in the project.
