• In 2015, mobile searches historically outperformed desktop
searches and the trend continues to climb to date

• Bluetooth 'beacons' are a simple way for marketers to
communicate with customers in physical locations via apps
• Allows for businesses to push notifications to phones and
offer personalized treatment to customers
• Siri, Cortana, Alexa and Google Now offer answers to
questions and commands
• Purchases can be made and services scheduled
without even seeing a screen
• With the introduction of Google Assistant, voice search
has become conversational and can lead to newer
opportunities for the end user.
• For many, reading on the mobile web is a slow, clunky and
frustrating experience - but it doesn’t have to be that way. The
Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) Project is an open source
initiative that allows publishers to create mobile optimized
content once and have it load instantly everywhere.
• This currently is in effect for news based content, but is expected
to expand its reach in the near future
• Beyond Pay-Per-Click advertising on
Mobile is Expanded Text Ads. They
are 2x bigger than current text ads.
• The new ads are designed to

These have been in live testing for a bit in 2016, but they will
become the norm starting January 31st, 2017. Standards ads
will no longer be able to be made/edited.

develop and give rise to new
marketing opportunities. Just look
what Pokémon Go did in a short
amount of time.
• While online ordering is a current trend, the concept of
performing an action on a mobile device to get gratification in
the “real-world” will develop even further.
• The only thing stopping drone delivery from taking off is the
lack of drones that can avoid crashing. We are not far from that
• Retail will see a reinvention - Amazon Go is the first to take this
bold step. It is a new kind of store with no checkout required.
