  • 2. Family Programs Specialist Calendar of Classes and Events Registration required: Ft Wainwright, Alaska 353-2382 HOURS OF OPERATION Volunteer Program: 0730 – 1600 Employment Program: 0730 – 1600 AFTB/AFAP Programs: 0730 – 1600 of briefings; it provides information on understanding your audience gives briefer different techniques and helps them understand different briefing traits. In this course we will review the stages that groups experience, discuss the roles and group sizes as they pertain to a facilitation environment, help the facilitator understand the impact of different personalities on group behavior, and we explore the various barriers that effect group performance and develop tools to help you overcome those challenges. SENIOR ENLISTED SPOUSE SEMINAR - This course provides future or current First Sergeants (1SG) Spouses with the information and skills they will need to take on the role of an informed, involved, productive and proactive member of the command team. The idea for this seminar came from a workgroup of enlisted spouses representing senior, middle and junior levels who met to address the needs of enlisted spouses as they advance to assume additional responsibilities. The Enlisted Spouse Outreach and Training Plan identified the need to train enlisted spouses at three key points: when they are preparing for or at Recruiter, Drill, or First Sergeant assignments. This seminar combines the best parts of classes for First Sergeant Spouses offered at various Army locations. Additionally, seminar developers worked with First Sergeants, their spouses, and other senior enlisted spouse who’s Soldiers had been First Sergeants. We believe this program will provide you the skills and resources to be successful in this assignment and as you continue to meet the challenges of your life in the Army. The Enlisted Spouse Outreach and Training Plan specifically acknowledge and showcase the significant contributions of our NCO spouses. TEAM MEMBER ORIENTATION (TMO) - Is designed to welcome new employees to Family and MWR and to position them for success by enrolling them in a one-day session that helps them understand the mission of Family and MWR, and how we fit into the big picture of our garrison, region and IMCOM.
