A Special City Council Meeting and Work Session of the City Council of the City of
Alamo Heights, Texas was held at the Council Chambers, located at 6116 Broadway, San
Antonio, Texas, at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 24, 2023. A teleconference was held via
Zoom.
Present and composing a quorum were:
Mayor Bobby Rosenthal
Mayor Pro Tem Blake M. Bonner
Councilmember Lawson Jessee
Councilmember Karl P. Baker
Councilmember Lynda Billa Burke
Also attending were:
City Manager Buddy Kuhn
Assistant City Manager Phil Laney

Public Works Director Pat Sullivan

Item # 1 Mayor Rosenthal read the following caption.
Discussion of City Beautification Project ideas and initiatives.
TBG Partner Samantha Whitney presented Open Space Visioning for the City of Alamo
Heights. She stated ideas and initiatives were broken down into three categories: Beautification +
Identity, Pedestrian Safety, and Connecting the Community to Nature. A brief presentation was
made to the Council. Council and staff broke out into a work session and provide input for future
development. They engaged in dialogue and reviewed outlines of desired plans.

With no further business to consider, Mayor Rosenthal adjourned the meeting at 10:32
a.m.
