2. Gadarif state is eastern Sudan and Gedaref city is its capital with
363,945 inhabitants (269,395 in 2008)
GMAC is the biggest mechanized rain fed agriculture scheme and It
grows 8 million Feddans (1 Feddan = 1.038acre) mainly sorghum,
sesame, millet, cotton and sunflower.

3. Gadarif has millions of acres natural grazing (pastures), forestry and
more than 8 million animals(sheep, camels, cows ) and gold.
Gadarif is the first city to host the information forum and have a
workshop on e-government outside Khartoum (capital of Sudan)
