2. 1. Do you feel that the track and video
suit in style?
Results: 100% Yes 0% No
My main aim for this project was to make sure that each
element matched the others so 100% of participants
saying that the music and video suit is a huge relief.
3. 2. Do you feel that if the post production
editing was more basic, the video would be
less interesting?
Results: 100% Yes 0% No
Again, 100%of participants agreeing with another. This
time I wanted to reassure myself that I made the right
decision by adding in the Beady Eye style editing. I am
glad that I spent more time in the editing suites now!
4. 3. Did you find the video repetitive in any way?
(the video not the track)
Results: 40% Yes 60% No
I asked this question because I feel that the lack of
variation in shots was the weakest part of the video. This
result is good news in a way because it sets in stone that
I made the right decision with adding the Beady Eye
inspired editing. I can now look back over the project and
know that this is an area to improve on.
5. 4. Do you feel that a brand image of the band is
apparent? (styling and the way the video
portrays the band)
Results: 80% Yes 20% No
These results tell me that (although the majority says a
brand is noticeable) I should have added some things
into the video to boost the Empire brand e.g. the band
logo or shots of individuals that portray their personalities
rather than just viewing them as musicians.
6. 5. Can you see a link the music video has with
the digipak and magazine advert?
Results: 100% Yes 0% No
The minimalistic approach in the design of the three
parts with use of white space, colour scheme and fonts
can be clearly seen by the viewers and thus, proves
successful.
7. 6. Do you feel that you can now easily identify
each of the band members? (if you didn't
before viewing)
Results: 70% Yes 0% No 30% Not all of them
Although this question may seem a little odd, I felt it
necessary as to find if I had succeeded with Andrew
Goodwin’s concept that there should be shots of the
main artists throughout the video. I strongly feel that if I
can’t recognise an artist then I instantly loose slight
interest in their work as there is no persona to associate
with.
