2. I decided that I
would want to self-
publish my
magazine. For
example ‘Clash
magazine is
published by ‘Clash
Magazine Ltd’ and
they have become
much more
successful than
NME, which is
published by IPC.
Because they self-
publish the don’t
have to rely on
advertisers paying
for pages as much
as they would is
they had gone with
a bigger publisher.

3. If I decided to self-
publish I would be
able to focus more
on what my
audience’s needs
and wants. Also all
of the profits would
come back to
me, as a
company, because
I wouldn’t have to
pay a company for
distributing my
magazine.

4. However going with
a larger company
would have a few
advantages. My
magazine would hit
the shelves a lot
quicker and more
money would be
able to co into the
initial distribution.
Also having a larger
publisher would
make it easier for
other mediums like
a radio station or a
website to come
about.

5. Another way that I
would distribute my
magazine to a
wider audience is
by allowing people
to subscribe to it
and receive the
magazine monthly
for however long
they have paid for.
