 First Women’s Game against Robert Morris University on November 22, 2002
 The Petersen Events Center opened for a preview so that graduating seniors could see
the arena before leaving campus on April 27, 2002
 The arena is 430,000 total square feet, which includes an auxiliary basketball practice
facility, office space, media space, and athletic training facilities
 Seating Capacity of 12,508 for basketball, and 9,000 for end stage concerts
 Premium Seating includes: Five courtside luxury suites, six club suites, six loge suites, 193
super suite seats, and five building levels, which include the main lobby, event, lawn,
club, and concourse levels.

CREDENTIALS, PARKING AND ENTRANCE — MEDIA
 Direct your media contacts to Greg Hotchkiss, Director of Media Relations, at 412-648-8242 or
ghotchkiss@athletics.pitt.edu. Greg will handle requests for parking and credentials.
 Media will be assigned to park in the University’s OH-Lot. The name and affiliation of each
member of the media will be listed with the OH-Lot attendant. Media will be admitted to the lot
on a first-come, first-served basis. Should the lot fill, overflow media will be directed to public
parking by the attendant.
 Men’s Basketball Media must enter the Petersen Events Center through the
“Media/Panther Club Entrance” located on the lobby level off of Terrace Street.
CREDENTIALS, PARKING AND
ENTRANCE: TEAM AND STAFF
 Bus driver can drop all passengers at the loading dock entrance of the Petersen Events Center on
Sutherland Drive.
 There is a 24-hour security post at the loading dock entrance and one of our officers or a team
manager will meet and direct you to your locker room (Dressing Rooms #1 and #2).
 Your team bus will park on Sutherland Drive across the street from the loading dock. *Note - if
your driver comes up the hill from Fifth Avenue to Sutherland Drive, he/she will need to turn the
bus around to park. The best way for team buses to approach the Petersen Center is to proceed
down Sutherland Drive from Aliquippa Street. Buses entering Sutherland Drive from this direc-
tion will not have to be turned.
 You will be given credentials for you and your staff upon arrival.
 Team benches will be set in accordance with ACC Policy
 If your Athletic Director is attending the game, please contact Brian Regan at 412-648-1078 or
bregan@athletics.pitt.edu. A parking space will be made available for him/her in the Panther Hall
Loading Dock Lot, which is located above the Petersen Events Center. Once they have parked,
take the stairs from Allequippa Street to the Petersen Events Center Plaza. They can enter Con-
course C entrance with a ticket or credential or go around the building to the Media Entrance
which is adjacent to the outdoor ticket windows.
 There will be one seat at the official scorer’s table for the Athletic Director or his/her designee.
 All other staff, with the exception of your media relations personnel (who sit in the Media Sec-
tion), must be ticketed.

WILL CALL—TEAM COMPS & ALL OTHER
VISITING TEAM WILL CALL PATRONS
 Upon arrival, please bring your complimentary admission form to the Panther Ticket Office
located in the lobby. Doors open to the public 90 minutes prior to tip off.
 Please feel free to use your own Will Call list or the one provided and give to the ticket office
upon arrival.
 In addition to player comps, all other visiting team Will Call will be distributed at the Con-
course C Entrance.
 All Guests must have valid ID.
 Directions to Visiting Team Will Call:
— If your guests are coming down to the building from the parking areas above the
Petersen Events Center, they should walk across the plaza and follow the signage to
Concourse C.
— For guests entering through the lobby off of Terrace Street, Concourse C can be
accessed by taking the outdoor stairs and/or tower staircase to the top level and
entering the arena through Concourse C.
VISITING TEAM VIDEO
 Located on the camera platform above section 108. You will be directed to the location by one
of our managers.
 Should there be any difficulties, our video managers will be available in section 108 to assist
you.
 If there are any specific video requests, please call Jason Richards at 412-648-8333 or email
him at jrichards@athletics.pitt.edu.
VISITING TEAM RADIO
 Visiting broadcast radio will have the last four seats at the scorer’s table next to the visiting
team bench.
 Visiting team student radio will be seated in the lower bowl media section in the end court or
in the media overflow section directly above section 107.

MEDICAL/ATHLETIC TRAINING ROOM
 Your team will have access to our athletic training room and use of the standard modalities
available in this area.
 A taping table, ice, water and hydroculator will be provided in your locker room.

WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS
 “PEC-Media” wireless network is available for media and for visiting school related staff and
coaches. Wi-Fi is available in the media work room, media interview room, courtside and in
the media overflow section. Login: PEC-Media / Password: hail2pitt
POST-GAME INTERVIEWS
 Post game interviews will be conducted in the Interview Room, which is across the hall from
the Media Relations Office on the event level.

POST-GAME GATHERING AREA
 Everyone on your complimentary admission form entering the arena at Concourse C will be
issued a pass for the post-game meeting area. Following the game, they can wait at Section 24
and the bottom of Section 124 to meet with your players and staff.
POST-GAME FOOD DELIVERIES
 Post-game food for your team should be delivered to your team bus at the loading dock and
NOT to your locker room.

1: Take I-279 toward Pittsburgh
2: Pass through the Fort Pitt Tunnel, stay to the right, and bear right at the first ramp over the
bridge onto I-376
3: Take exit I-376 at the Oakland/Forbes Avenue Exit hen turn left at the third light
(McKee Place) and proceed straight through next two lights and up the hill to the stop light at
Allequippa Street
4: Fitzgerald Field House (Volleyball, Wrestling, Gymnastics) is on your right, Trees Pool
(Swimming & Diving) is straight ahead and Petersen Events Center is on the right past the
Fitzgerald Field House. The OC Parking Lot is on the left past Trees Pool.
FROM THE PENNSYLVANIA TURNPIKE:
1: Take the Pittsburgh/Monroeville Exit (Exit 6) and follow I-376 toward Pittsburgh then take

2: Proceed up the hill through the first traffic light and make the second left after the light onto

1: Take I-79 South to I-279 South to I-579 (Crosstown Blvd.) Exit at the Boulevard of the Allies
(Exit 14) toward Monroeville/Oakland
2: Turn left onto Halket Street beside Magee Hospital then turn right onto Forbes Avenue
3: Take the first left onto McKee Place and continue straight through two traffic lights, and up the hill
to the stop light at Allequippa Street

CREDENTIALS, PARKING AND ENTRANCE: TEAM AND STAFF  Bus driver can drop all passengers at the loading dock entrance of the Petersen Events Center on Sutherland Drive.  There is a 24-hour security post at the loading dock entrance and one of our officers or a team manager will meet and direct you to your locker room (Dressing Rooms #1 and #2).  Your team bus will park on Sutherland Drive across the street from the loading dock. *Note - if your driver comes up the hill from Fifth Avenue to Sutherland Drive, he/she will need to turn the bus around to park. The best way for team buses to approach the Petersen Center is to proceed down Sutherland Drive from Aliquippa Street. Buses entering Sutherland Drive from this direc- tion will not have to be turned.  You will be given credentials for you and your staff upon arrival.  Team benches will be set in accordance with ACC Policy  If your Athletic Director is attending the game, please contact Brian Regan at 412-648-1078 or bregan@athletics.pitt.edu. A parking space will be made available for him/her in the Panther Hall Loading Dock Lot, which is located above the Petersen Events Center. Once they have parked, take the stairs from Allequippa Street to the Petersen Events Center Plaza. They can enter Con- course C entrance with a ticket or credential or go around the building to the Media Entrance which is adjacent to the outdoor ticket windows.  There will be one seat at the official scorer’s table for the Athletic Director or his/her designee.  All other staff, with the exception of your media relations personnel (who sit in the Media Sec- tion), must be ticketed.
  • 9. 9 WILL CALL—TEAM COMPS & ALL OTHER VISITING TEAM WILL CALL PATRONS  Upon arrival, please bring your complimentary admission form to the Panther Ticket Office located in the lobby. Doors open to the public 90 minutes prior to tip off.  Please feel free to use your own Will Call list or the one provided and give to the ticket office upon arrival.  In addition to player comps, all other visiting team Will Call will be distributed at the Con- course C Entrance.  All Guests must have valid ID.  Directions to Visiting Team Will Call: — If your guests are coming down to the building from the parking areas above the Petersen Events Center, they should walk across the plaza and follow the signage to Concourse C. — For guests entering through the lobby off of Terrace Street, Concourse C can be accessed by taking the outdoor stairs and/or tower staircase to the top level and entering the arena through Concourse C. VISITING TEAM VIDEO  Located on the camera platform above section 108. You will be directed to the location by one of our managers.  Should there be any difficulties, our video managers will be available in section 108 to assist you.  If there are any specific video requests, please call Jason Richards at 412-648-8333 or email him at jrichards@athletics.pitt.edu. VISITING TEAM RADIO  Visiting broadcast radio will have the last four seats at the scorer’s table next to the visiting team bench.  Visiting team student radio will be seated in the lower bowl media section in the end court or in the media overflow section directly above section 107.

Following the game, they can wait at Section 24 and the bottom of Section 124 to meet with your players and staff. POST-GAME FOOD DELIVERIES  Post-game food for your team should be delivered to your team bus at the loading dock and NOT to your locker room.
