IQAIST: Improving Quality and Accessibility in In-Service Trainings for Teachers Project number: 2014–1–IT02–KA201–004226 In Service Training for Teachers: project funded with support from the European Commission through Erasmus+ Program Erasmus+ Key Action 2: This project is a Strategic Partnership in the field of school education. The new Erasmus+ programme aims to support actions in the fields of Education, Training, Youth and Sport for the period 2014- 2020. The Key Action 2 supports the development, transfer and/or implementation of innovative practise at organisational, local, regional, national or European levels.

PROJECT ACTIVITIES
The first major activities of the project was to design, implement, and process
information from questionnaires on teacher training needs. We implemented the
questionnaires in public & private schools both online and in the classroom. The study
showed that teachers look forward to practical hands-on training approach related to
real life contexts. They are eager to share good practices and to learn from peers.
The results of the questionnaire were processed, based on each country’s findings, by
Balikesir University (Turkey).
In the current phase, we are designing tailor-made training programs to be delivered
in partner countries starting from October, 2015.
INTERNATIONAL MEETINGS
IQAIST team met in Bologna, Italy for the 1st international meeting from 17th-19th
January, 2015. The partner countries Consortium with representatives from Italy,
Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, and Turkey met for the Project kick-off where
division of tasks and responsibilities were decided. The first major task was to create
a questionnaire to research teachers training needs. Balikesir University (Turkey)
designed the questionnaire.
The 2nd international meeting was held from 12th-14th June in Bologna, Italy with
the main objective of discussing training results and working on international training
topics, quality criteria, venues and dates.
