The animal rescue fair has several goals: to encourage teens' community involvement by introducing them to various animals and animal-related nonprofit organizations; to facilitate animal adoptions; and to educate teens on ways to volunteer and fulfill community service requirements, such as for school or college applications. The event features several participating animal welfare nonprofits and organizations focused on specific animals like greyhounds, rabbits, turtles, and reptiles. Speakers will be present from organizations like the spcaLA and LA Zoo to discuss how teens can help support animal causes.
