My motivation for pursuing a career in Family Care Nurse Practitioner comes from my various

Entering the Navy as a critical care nurse, I struck a balance between my professional aspirations and
the Navy's mission needs, hence I pursued more accreditation to be a versatile, deployable, and
independent practitioner. My BSN further supplemented my initial bachelor and nursing degrees'
critical, complex patient cases thinking. My well–rounded critical care experience enabled me to
understand how advanced patient assessment, monitoring and intervention guides lead to better health
outcomes. Shadowing CNSs taught me the value of an Advanced Practice Nurse education.

premeditation of pursuing pharmacy. Ultimately, I became aware that I was more interested in the
biology of the human anatomy than the chemical aspect; thus, I switched my major over to nursing.
