Smart cities are considered as a promising strategic path towards economic and social sustainability, but... How could we obtain nationwide results without a massive investment?
- Implementation fields would be, initially, telecommunications, energy saving, public/private transport and, at the end, welfare and healthcare.
- Different types of data could be obtained from the volunteer’s smartphones without the need of their assistance, intervention or even their attention.
- Sensors would provide anonymous data on: mobility, availability of city services, radio-electric map, radiation fields, detection of events and possible needs of health assistance.
- The key would be to substitute the use of specialized sensors by using the citizens smartphones. To overcome the missing we incorporate specific algorithms to get new inferred signals.
