Twitter Stats: has 75million user accounts but only around 15millionare active. 53% are female 47% between the ages of 18-34 31% between the ages 35-49 46% graduated college
FacebookStats: Has over 50million members worldwide. Has in excess of 350 million active users on global basis. Six months ago, this was 250million… meaning around a 40% increase of users in less than half a year. More than 35million users update their status each day. More than 700,000 local businesses have active Pages. More than 80,000 websites have implemented Facebook Connect since December 2008 and more than 60million Facebook users engage with it across these external sites each month.
Other Stats: LinkedIn has over 50million members worldwide. 38% of bloggers post brand or product reviews. 70% of bloggers are organically talking about brands on their blog. 15% of bloggers spend 10 or more hours each week blogging.
You must go where THEY ARE GOING! There is a reason why its called social media...  you HAVE to be "SOCIAL". Your customer is out there waiting to hear from you. If you don’t engage  neither will they.

It’s microblogging in 140 characters or less Think of it as instant messaging with millions of people across the world all at once. There are businesses like the mobile food cart that tweets where his location is every day. People follow him so they know where to go. I have the surf report tweeted to me every morning. It’s ok to be personal. In fact, most people want to know the face behind the brand.     What is Twitter? Hello Beautiful Ppl. How r u? @Bob Just Peachy ;)
If you want it to be viral, then create contests. Create a way for people to get something out of advertising your brand. Give something away.  The customer no matter what the medium is always tuning in to WIIFM (what’s in it for me). BUILD IT UP

No really there are...twitter, Facebookand LinkedIn all havefree apps for your smartphone. Also there are companies, like myself, that help you with a plan and implementation to lead youin the right direction. What you are probably thinking
