Specialized in materials related to the legal,
economic, financial, foreign trade, technical
and advertising fields.
Her present work focuses mostly on criminal
law, civil and criminal procedure materials.

It is necessary to get involve with the cultural issues
translation is “not just a transfer of information
between languages, but a transfer from one culture
to another” (Hervey et al., 1995: 20).

Ada Franzoni states that legal translation is not
only between two languages but also between
two legal systems since legal translators have to
know not only about the linguistic part of both
languages, but also about the legal systems of
both of them.

lengua de llegada tiene que tener el mismo
contenido conceptual que tenía el término en
la lengua de partida, y en la traducción
jurídica el sistema conceptual, el contenido

equivalence so that the translator has to be
aware of that and know the recipient (the
readership).

part. That is, he/she can do the translation of

ourselves: Can I do it? Am I competent in this
field? If not, so please don’t accept to do that
translation because the objective is EXCELENCE
in our work or you can get in contact with
experts on that particular field.
