The aims and objectives of both Foundations and its Directors can be described and determined as follows Stichting Kebon Sepatu (SKS) & Yayasan Kebun Sepatu (YKS) S tichting K ebon S epatu (SKS) Generating funds by private donations or subsidies from organisation in the Netherlands, Determining policies, procedures and criteria for the stimulation and coordination of work experience and job opportunity projects in Indonesia, Providing training schemes for those segments of society in Indonesia, with a proven need for education and support, i.e. lacking formal education and opportunities, Selecting training schemes for the YKS in terms of Social Wellbeing for the people of Indonesia.

Yacht-, maintenance and building Training Centre Phase I Training and educational criteria: Youngster (M/F) from the age of 17 years onward, with finalised Primary Education and following SMP/SMA with segments of Mathematics, Technique with Chemistry and Natural Science or in exceptional cases by introduction of the Educational Authorities on behalf of a youngster with an outspoken talent in woodwork-/handicraft-/technical abilities. “ No preference is given to either sex; the educational opportunities will be wide and varied in order to develop all talents and abilities which lie dormant within the target group itself.*”

Goals/Objectives Allow the possibilities for a new professional skill on Lombok to enhance economic stability in the sector of light industry combined with Eco Tourism The course will include subjects like; techniques of the modern yacht building industry, the IT aspects required, Alignment to similar professional educational institutes in Europe, Stimulate cooperation with the Department of Education in selection criteria for youngsters with a particular ability and talent for specific handicraft skills.

Procedures – Step by step….
Key Personnel – Phase I The management will be provided by YKS: project director Ir. Bart Draijer, local and international staff. The aim of the YKS is to employ as much local staff as possible, Cooperation will be with various specialised institutions will be encouraged, TU DELFT, Inholland, Shipyards and Yacht building and equipment firms in the Netherlands, Sailing Associations worldwide.

Evaluation Regular meetings with the direct local population of Cemara, involving the Kepala Dessa and the respective RW’s and RT’s, Phase by phase discussion with the Board of the YKS and the various departments of the Local Government of Lombok Barrat, Involvement with external parties, private investors, Strict monitoring of the progress of the students .
The potential for realizing all three phases of the plan as outlined in attachments III and IV, b. The close proximity of a neighbouring kampung Cemara, whose local population will be invited to take part in the development and day to day running of the project, c. The potential for adequate logistic provisions to Lembar, Mataram and the new International Airport, by road and water, d. The possibilities to assure good working relationships with the local government in providing and timely issuing the following licenses, involving the various Departments on Lombok Barrat;
i. Department of Urban Planning for the required building permits, ii. Department of Education, iii. Department of Transport for the Marine permits of mooring facilities (Telung Terang-Salat Lombok), iv. Department of Tourism, providing excellent relations in welcoming tourists, interns and volunteers and the local officers dealing with foreigners !
