Characters
Binary opposites are used such as the
hero vs the villain, the terrorists are
the villains and the men who have the
masks on are the heroes. This
reinforces their personalities and tells
you more about them. Also there are
men in combat so you know they are
some sort of soldiers. Also there are
men all in black which clearly signifies
they are some sort of assassins under
cover.
Hero, villain, terrorists.
Themes
Isolation is used as the building is in
the middle of nowhere to connote
mystery and loneliness. Death is
another theme as the terrorists are
seen getting murdered and people
have died. One man was held hostage
which signifies he was a villain and
was evil. Also, murder is another
theme as the men wearing black killed
the terrorists.
Isolation, death, hostage,
murder.
Narrative
Tension was created when the
characters were out into life
threatening situations and you didn’t
know what was going to happen. Also
there was a goal to murder the villains
which connotes power. There is
conflict between characters (Good vs.
Evil, Hero vs. Villain)
Tension and conflict between
characters, one main goal,
binary opposites.
Iconography
Guns were used to connote danger
and power and dark clothing was used
to connote mystery and danger. Low
key lighting was used in the building
to signify there two rivals. This
connotes negativity. A radio was used
to set the equilibrium.
Weapons, dark clothing, low key
lighting.
