1. My Favorite Experience Of Reading Essay
In many eyes reading and writing has been a challenge. When I was younger I never seen reading
and writing.as a challenge but i will agree on how much I despise it. Writing on the other hand was
one of my easiest subjects. I could write for long periods of time without getting distracted. I would
always tell myself "If only reading was this interesting."
The earliest memory of reading I am able to think of, was in my pre–school reading as a class. "
Green Eggs And Ham" by Dr. Seuss was the book that started the whole comprehensive level. The
book made have wonderful joyful feeling inside. As my teacher was reading the book, her
assistant teacher was actually making green eggs and ham. At the time my reaction was amazed,
thinking "oh wow they're actually real green eggs and ham"; not knowing about food coloring.
The class was disgusted before they took the first bite, but soon after the first bite they all wanted
seconds. During this time in my life I never was influenced to read, only read during school
activities and time but the more I went to school it increased to be fun .As time went on , I slowly
started to not feel interested in reading.
Not to long after, I started to read a grade level above my actual grade. My education level had then
took a turn because writing started to come in the picture. Writing was my favorite thing to do at
the time. My favorite memory was the worksheets where we had to trace the letters one by one. The
easiest thing we could ever do,

2. Descriptive Essay About My Favorite Food
Enjoying delicious foods can count as one of my "hobbies"; from crunchy, buttery popcorn to
zesty ice cream, from fresh sashimi of sushi to the rich seafood of Spanish fried rice. But, if you
ask me what is my favorite food among all these delicacies, the only answer that I can give to you
is, "My mom's cooking." Every morning, opening my lunch bag, the water vapor inside my lunch
box lid starts my copacetic day. During lunch time, the 'ding' sound of microwave after one minute
and thirty seconds determined my attitude over the whole day. Lunch, my mom's handmade food, is
my passion. Maybe you are thinking that I'm exaggerating about 'lunch', but every grain of rice in
my lunch box makes up who I am. I learned my identity from my...show more content...
They all look like gorgeous gems inside a secret treasure box with nobles dancing around them. I
bring my lunch to school every day, but none of those said before come close to my heart like
Chinese food. Since that day, I found out that my mom did this on purpose. That day, unlike before,
my lunch bag was heavy. With unstoppable curiosity, I looked inside of my lunch bag. "Yes!" I
almost screamed at the same time; my favorite; Chinese food, traditional, mom's hand–making,
vegetables, meat, and white rice! It doesn 't look like the regal food the nobles dance around, or the
shining treasures with a box, in contrast too much soy sauce made the potato slices look abrasive and
coarse, with minced meat on the top, adding a more biting taste to it.
During a lunch break, two girls sitting next to my table captured my attention. One of them pointed
at my lunchbox and talked to the another. Although my English was not that good at that time, but
I heard from their few isolated words;"ugly", "weird", and "disgusting". I ignored them. However,
I was scared, I was scared to be the 'outsider', but I realized that I'm always the outsider. "Is this the
reason why my mom didn't bring Chinese food for me?" I thought.
That was a culture shock to them.
I continued to bring my lunch to school every day. But, from that moment on, I subconsciously

3. My Favorite Meal Pad Thai
What is your favorite meal, and how does it reflect various developments in the history of
agriculture, and larger environmental history?
Pad Thai is my favourite meal to enjoy during both lunch and dinner times. It is notably one of the
most famous Thai dishes outside of Thailand and can be found served in all Thai restaurants and
eateries in Singapore. It is a savoury dish which consists of rice noodles stir–fried with eggs,
shrimps, fried tofu cubes, garlic, red chilli peppers, seasoned with fish sauce, tamarind pulps, palm
sugars and served with chopped roast peanuts and lime slices. Other than these staple ingredients,
condiments such as bean sprouts, coriander leaves and proteins such as slices of beef, chicken or
pork may also be added to one's tasting. Pad Thai is not only tasty but is an example of how
Columbian Exchange influenced and provided for the food ingredients found in pad Thai and the
cultural perception which we have for Thai cuisine today. The popularisation of pad Thai asThailand
's national dish also reflected how food could be closely linked to the country's economic growth,
national identity and nutrition.
In Thailand, pad Thai is lovingly called the national dish of Thailand and is commonly served as a
street food or in local eateries. However, this stir–fried rice noodle dish which full name is called

Although Thailand was never colonised, the expansion of global trade and increased migration

association of pad Thai as the representative dish of Thailand until

4. Essay On My Favourite Birthday Gift
It was my seventh birthday and also one of the best days of my entire life. I had just opened up
the last of my presents and was thanking my family for all the gifts they had given me for my
birthday. When I heard a bark and turned around to see my dad holding what would be my favorite
birthday present that I ever received. It was my first dog, an Irish Setter named Scarlet.
Scarlet was a very playful and stubborn puppy. She loved to run and chase anything that would
move, including her tail and the neighbor's cat. Although, a very playful and stubborn dog Scarlet
was undoubtedly a very intelligent animal as well. She was completely house trained in under a
week and learned how to play fetch in two weeks. Occasionally of course her playfulness turned our
games of fetch into games of me chasing her around the yard trying to get the tennis ball back.
It was also a great responsibility that my parents entrusted me to take care of. I had to feed her,
keep her groomed, and of course teach her the correct way to act. My dad taught me that you
always make sure that your dog is fed, before you feed yourself. This lesson I didn't figure out to

bear again in her life. Then of course I taught her to play fetch. Scarlet took to playing fetch very
quickly. Well, if I am being completely honest she took to playing make human chase dog to get

5. My Favorite Trip
Last year, my mother took a trip to Italy for an entire month. While in Italy, she had the chance to
see many fascinating things including the Roman Coliseum. She visited the most beautiful beach
on the Caribbean Sea with white sand and crystal clear water and while swimming there, she got
to see a rare species of fish called the Parrotfish. Rome, Florence, and Venice were just some of the
many places she visited while on her Italian trip. While in Rome, she bought a replica of the Roman
Empire's old battle helmets and stood outside of the coliseum to take a picture. She tasted authentic
Italian cuisine including the Italian version of my favorite food, Bacon Cheese Fries. When she
came back home, she told me all about the culture of Italy and told stories that she heard from the
locals. She said that the way they live there is very different from here in America. I want to take a
trip to Italy so I can take a picture with and explore historic landmarks that Italy is known for, I
want to taste authentic Italian cuisine from its natural place, and I want to take a fishing trip to the
Mediterranean Sea to catch exotic fish .
To begin with, I want to see many of the landmarks that Italy is known for. My personal favorite is
the Leaning Tower of Piza because of how the structure leans to one side and it's unlike any
building. I want to stand underneath the leaning side and take a picture making it look like the tower
was falling on me. Another landmark that I would like to

6. My Favorite Class Essay
My favorite classes this year were Mrs. Menzel's two english classes. I have learned so much
about myself as a reader, student, and an intellectual. Through both of her classes, we were given
endless amounts of opportunity. What I mean by this is, we got to choose our own topics to
study, books to read, and subjects to write about. We were truly treated like adults, which in my
eyes, helped prepare us for the "real world". Her willingness to let us grow as individuals was
very inspiring, because she believed that we could do it on our own, with a little push whenever
we needed it. I have gotten the chance to discover that I actually enjoy reading! Specifically, I
discovered that Jodi Picoult might be my favorite author as of now. Also, I realized that writing is
one of my favorite things to do, it is a passion of mine and I hope I can continue it somehow with
the career that I choose.
Personally, her two classes have helped me grow as a speaker, writer, and reader. In her CCC
class, I was able to write a profile on my dad, which really strengthened my relationship with him.
After printing him a copy, and seeing tears in his eyes made me very grateful for this experience
to share with him how much of a role model he is to me. In her English Lit class, I was able to ask
my grandma and mom what books they would recommend for me. Having these conversations
with them made their hearts warm, since I was showing interest in books for once (they are both
book lovers). Her class pushed me to be the best that I can, and it wasn't for the grade that I got. It
was for learning about myself, and what I was capable of. That's when I learned that her classes
are actually changing me as a student. For an example, when I was working on a project, I wasn't
basing every single sentence on what the rubric told me to do. I was branching out and working on
it because I truly wanted to learn more about the topic and put my all into it.
Thankfully, I have matured a great amount as a student because of Mrs. Menzel and her life
lessons through teaching, and by just being herself. I truly feel ready for college now because of
Mrs. Menzel, and I am grateful for that. This year, I changed my intended major from Business to
Education,

7. My Favorite Food
One of the foods I enjoy is chinese food, still to this day i love it. If I could i would eat it for
breakfast, lunch, dinner. However, i know if i would eat it on a regular basis, soon i would get
tired of it. Orange chicken was the light of my day, it was what i looked forward to when eating
chinese food. Now i can not help but to ignore it, at all cost if necessary. I distinctly remember the
feeling i had that day i ate one of my favorite foods. It was about four years ago, 2013, i was 13
and in the 8th grade. It was my first time at ever at Six Flags, i was scared out of my mind and felt
a little anxious. We stopped to eat late in the afternoon, we went to the closest place we could
fine, which happened to be Panda Express. Panda express is one of my favorite chinese places to
eat so i had no problem in eating there. I bought chow mein, beef and broccoli, and orange
chicken; i ate the orange chicken first because it is my favorite. However, that's the only thing i
ate because i started to feel sick and experience stomachaches. I went the rest of that day in pain
and in discomfort, until i eventually threw up right before a ride. Now every time i see orange
chicken i get a feeling of sickness and tend to avoid eating it at all costs. The unconditioned
stimulus is the orange chicken, i had never had a problem or bad experience with it. The
unconditioned response would be the sick feeling i got for eating it, i have eaten orange chicken
multiple times and never gotten sick.

8. My Favorite Foods : Sandwiches
Usually when someone asks me "what is your favorite food?" My immediate reply is food. I
know that sounds like I 'm trying to be funny but it 's true. I enjoy such a wide variety of food that
to narrow it down to "this is my favorite food that I would be happy eating for the rest of my life,"
it 's nearly impossible. So I have decided to talk about one of my many favorite foods: sandwiches.
One of the things I like the most about sandwiches is that they can be so versatile. You could do
Vietnamese and have bahn–mi or Mexican and have a torta. Or, settle for the old comfort of a
peanut butter and jelly.
Just like it is impossible to narrow down a favorite food, it 's hard for me to narrow down a least
favorite food as well. I 've always been pretty easy to please in the food department. There aren 't
many things that I don 't like. That being said there are a couple of things that I have tried and
found to be disgusting. Durian definitely tops that list. Durian is a fruit native to South East Asia.
It is distinctive by the fact that it 's covered on spikes and its strong pungent odor. The odor has
been described as rotten onions, turpentine, and even raw sewage. Personally, I 've always felt it
smelled and tasted like dirty socks. I have tried it several times in several different ways, and it 's
just not something that I can handle.
I would have to say the best cook I know is probably my husband. I like to make jokes that I married
him for his skills in the kitchen. It 's

9. My Childhood Memories Of A Summer Day
If someone were to ask you what your favorite childhood memory was, would you be able to
answer it without second guessing yourself? I could. In a heartbeat. Some of my fondest memories
as a child were roaming around my luscious garden with my father. The vibrant colors, the fresh
smells, the wild life trying to snatch every gleam of sunlight possible. My favorite part of a summer
day was going out and helping my father pick through our garden. It might not have been a huge
garden but my father and I were so proud of it. I have never tasted something as delicious as our
home grown fruits and vegetables.
I remember my 7th birthday like it was yesterday. My father decided to give me my own very first
plant, my favorite fruit of all time, a raspberry bush. I felt so grown up when he handed this to me,
I felt like he had just handed me my own child. I thought to myself, I must keep this alive for as
long as I live. Sometimes when I think about it hard enough, I can still taste that sensational juicy
taste of the first raspberry to grow off the bush. Ever since my that birthday I have been really
interested in getting my own organic garden started. Yet it is very time consuming, I believe one
day organic gardening could save the world. Organic gardening can benefit us in so many ways
and I don't think people realize this. So my goal is to spread the word of how brilliant organic
gardening is and eventually have my own organic garden. Gardening is a great way of getting fresh

"Different"
I have a few words that I like and live by , but my favorite word is "different". It takes a lot to be
yourself in a world that is constantly changing. I love to see people who aren't afraid of being
themselves! The ones who would rather lead the pack than follow. I think that God created us
equally, but with our own unique touch.
In this world, everyone comes from different cultures and backgrounds. The world is one big
melting pot full of unique individuals. If we all were the same life would be so boring and serve us

everyone should read and live by. It's basically saying if you do not follow your own path it may
cost you. It may not be the path that was meant for you. If you take a leap of faith and use your
own imagination you can go beyond your limits. The truth of it all is anyone can be different.
Even identical twins are different in some way. You will noticed the different personalities

reason and we can all make a difference and be DIFFERENT.
My goal is to be an elementary teacher. My ultimate goal is to be able to make a difference with
one class at a time. I hope that when I finally get my own classroom, I am blessed enough to teach

ball with 108 red double stitches, the love of my life. I can hear as the ball whizzes through the
air, the seams tearing the wind for that perfect curve or the rising fastball. The pinging sound the
bat makes as you rip the ball for a base hit, truly a ravishing sound to hear. A piece of land filled
with hard clay dirt, mixed with rocks and sand and the yellowing grass that is full of fire ants that
shoot stinging pains throughout our players. Many potholes or the uneven dirt levels home plate

A famous poet once said that, "Food is also closely related to memory. We eat certain things in a

covers a large territory and has many nationalities. So, there is a variety of Chinese food with
different but fantastic and tasty flavor. Today, I want to introduce you my favorite food, which has
special meaning to me. It is a kind of noodle. But there are many different kinds of noodles in my
country, I don't even count down how many are them. For example, In Shanxi, the most famous
noodle is sliced noodles; in Guangdong, it has dry fried noodles; in Sichuan, people love spicy hot
noodles very much. In my pleasant hometown Wuhan, the hot dry noodles, also known as
"reganmian", is a traditional and the most famous local dish in Central China. For I was born in

–Here are some guidelines for writing a descriptive essay:
Take time to brainstorm
If your instructor asks you to describe your favorite food, make sure that you jot down some ideas
before you begin describing it. For instance, if you choose pizza, you might start by writing down a
few words: sauce, cheese, crust, pepperoni, sausage, spices, hot, melted, etc. Once you have written
down some words, you can begin by compiling descriptive lists for each one.
Use clear and concise language.
This means that words are chosen carefully, particularly for their relevancy in relation to that which
you are intending to describe.
Choose vivid language.

18. Food Essay : My Favorite Food
Food is the one thing that we cannot live without. Even for those who have developed the
discipline to fast for a specified period, eventually, they must start eating again. We love our food
to the point that recorded in history as being the first sin. Food is something we all enjoy, and
sometimes it shows. Most of the human race eats three to four meals a day, and the selection of
those foods are not a part of the recommended daily allowances. I will share my favorite foods, my
least favorite foods, and the reason I eat the way that I do and what foods I will incorporate for a
balance diet.
For me, my favorite likes are warm–hot rolls. I prefer wheat more than white with lots of butter.
Biscuits with butter and my homemade apple butter or bacon jam. Oh, my it's yummy. I also make
granola bars with some butter smeared on the bottom of the pan. I put the butter on the parchment
paper which is the last step before I place them in the oven for 25 minutes in a low–temperature
oven. Another one of my likes is my butter crГЁme frosting on top of a white or chocolate cake,
and I scoop the frosting off with lays potatoes chips. These are my special treat items that I
occasionally enjoy.
The food that I enjoy the most is Mexican food. Burrito smothered in green chill, Carnitas,

because I have never been to the beach which really made this an exciting time for me. Going to
the beach was really relaxing laying out enjoying the sun and the warm and going through my
feet was really nice. Being able to go swim in the ocean was really fun and a new experience for

22. Essay On Desserts
A well–known dessert around the world is pie. Throughout the world, bakers have concocted and
enjoyed several different types of these decadent desserts. Bakers can make several different kinds
of fillings that they can put into their pastries. All of these different fillings provide different
flavors. For bakers who are trying to experience this decadent dessert, they must look at the
different types of pies: fruit, nut, and cream. One of the main pies that bakers make contains fruit.
Most fruit pies have two crusts instead of one, one crust goes on the bottom and one lays on top of
the fruit. This crusts texture usually feels and looks more flaky. Along with the crust, another feature
of a fruit pie is its unique texture, the bakers...show more content...
The filling of the pie has a sweetened taste because bakers usually add sugar, along with chocolate
or another flavor. Bakers usually put thickeners, such as starch, eggs, or gelatin into the cream
pies. Most cream pastries have a fluffy consistency and taste best when eaten right away
otherwise the filling will make the crust soggy (Galarza). Another characteristic of cream pies
includes their crust which usually consists of graham crackers or cookies. This means that they
will not have a top crust and the topping on this pie will most likely consist of a meringue or
whipped cream. The texture of this pie will taste smooth and luxurious. Bakers make cream pies
all year round. Now that the bakers have seen what goes into a cream pie, they can now look at the
characteristics of a nut pie. Nut pastries taste so sweet that they can satisfy the most wildest sweet
tooth. According to Chloe Oliveras, nut pies consist of two fillings: nuts and a sticky, gooey
mixture. The fillings of the nut pie have close to the same consistency of the fillings of cream pies.
Nut pastries usually have the consistency of fudge. The main fillings in nut pies usually consist of
chocolate or caramel. Just like bakers would do with fruit pastries, they must also make sure that
their nuts taste fresh (Oliveras). Different pies that fall into the nut pie category include pecan,
walnut, and hazelnut pie. Nut pastries usually have one crust also, like the cream pie.
