FOREWORD
It is a matter of great pleasure for me that Chetna Pad Yatra (under Bharat Pad Yatra) Betul has
been Organized from 21 June to 25 June 2015 from Multai to Betul through all the villages. The
Foot March gave me an opportunity to understand the problem of Farmers.
The major objectives of Foot March (Chetna Pad Yatra under Bharat Pad Yatra) is to provide a
unique platform to farmers to develop their skills. The first phase of Bharat Pad Yatra was held in
Yavatmal (Maharashtra). The second phase of Chetna Pad Yatra was held in Betul (Madhya
Pradesh).
We have visited many villages of Betul District to understand the problem of Farmers and initiate
a dialog with them. The aim of Pad Yatra is to introduce villages to our arts and culture, this are
the two things which are the legacy of Indian village. Provide motivation to the Indian farmers
with new ideas of farming.
The sincere efforts of Ananda Hi Ananda members for enhancing co-operation among Chetna
Pad Yatra (Under Bharat Pad Yatra) by organizing regular social, cultural and literacy activites for
Farmers in village and for the youth are highly noteworthy and enlightening the path of Farmers.
It is an overwhelming fact that Foot March (Chetna Pad Yatra under Bharat Pad Yatra) moved
shoulder to shoulder with fellow citizens extending their patronage in each and every field, be it
Agriculture, Technology and so on, with each of us should be proud of.

INTRODUCTION:
Ananda Hi Ananda Foundation (A Socio-Spiritual) oraganized a Pad Yatra in Betul District , the aim
of this Yatra was to inspire the farmers and the youth. The foundation is based on the ideas of
Vivekji who have travelled all over the world and also the many states of India has discovered
that the true development of India lies in hand of Villages, so they need to be provide training for
their enhancement because farmers is our Food Provider. Vivekji also founded that the villages
are full of arts and culture, our heritage lies in the villages. Now the time has came to empower
them by providing medium so that they can express their arts and culture.
We are living in the 21st
century and India is still said as developing nation because we have
developed a lots in respect of Technologies but our villages still lack behind. Government is
promising farmers that they will provide new techniques of farming but it is not full proved.
According, to Government there are 600+ schemes and plan for the welfare of villages and
farmers but the major drawback of the schemes is that villages are not informed. Many
Government officials are dormant, they do not have any co-ordination with the villages if any
farmers goes for inquiry they are not providing the correct information.
To empower the villages and to create a dialog between the farmers Founder of Ananda Hi
Ananda Foundation Hon Vivekji step forward to help them. Vivekji aim is to inspire the farmers
and Youth so that they can develop their own skills. We along with Vivekji visited 27 villages of
Betul District (Madhya Pradesh) and problem of each villages is attached below.

Agriculture department should function, farmers are sending the soil samples but when
they do not get results its depressing for them.
 Agriculture department is quite dormant but it should be made more active by peoples
participations and their role in administration.
 Do not have ample of water for irrigation.
 Electricity department is pressing higher bills and without checking farmers motors.

if we want our kids to study better we need to provide basics amentities else our youth
will not go to school.
 If girls education has to be taken seriously we need to have schools near by for our young
girls else they will be devoid of education. Talie Dam need to be developed so that
beneficial for Farmers.

guardians of the forests. Forest herbs and other local grains should be documented
hence people can be aware of their multiple use.
 Bhainshdehi has a beautiful temple of Lord Shiva which must have been built by 8-10th
century, thus should be protected by locals as well as government. This is our heritage
and as long as we will not take care of our heritage we will never understand of golden
past for which we all strive to built again.

 The problem with hospital and doctors presence is severe it unethical for the medical
professionals not to do their duty. A team of youth should be trained to know their rights
and they should inform district administration regarding this when they find it out.

 Education is right of every kid, right to education bill by Government of India gives us that
right now the requirement is that schools and college also start looking about the
problems of distance covered by a youth to reach.
 Agriculture insurance and its policy is very tricky some experts should look into this and
approach government for its fallacy.

 Government has open may Agriculture Department in Villages for the welfare of farmers
but when the soil is send for testing it is not done by it .i.e they are helping farmers to
solve their problems
 Skill upgradation and professional training cources are required to provide support to
villages. If this happens youth will find the job and work at home town and no need of
migration.
 Agriculture insurance policy should be seen by the expert and farmers should get trained
about various things as well as the fallacy should be brought in.
 Marketing is bigger problem specially for vegetables to get fair prices.
 Many youth are software engineers but still un-employed, this shall be seen as they can
become assets for the villages. They need guidance to stretch their hand as well as find
work in small towns.

Government of India stretched helping hands for them and got them settled in varoous
locations of India. Betul district also received many refuges at that time and they got
settled at Chopna region in many pockets. I certainly feel that there is some basic human
rights for refuges and India as a nation has a big role in defining these rights and opening
frontiers where they can feel at home. They had left everything back in Bangladesh now
India is their country and they supposed to have things that can enrich their life.

 Each refugee brings certain culture, tradition and language back to new settled land and
for humane reason government should help them to protect this. The problem of Bangali
language teaching in the school is one, if teaching is not done kids will have no memory of
their culture and traditions as they are settled in remote location of Betul and here
spoken language is only Hindi.
 Still after so many years many refuges have no land record of their own, many are without
land papers, it causes a rift among community and legal problem, the land record naming
must be done and some measures to protect as well as giving special status for certain
development is must.
 Vivekji visited a village where there is no electricity after so many years due to some
forest land, a nation which has brought this population must act now and get the
necessary measure taken for this, they have already suffered a lot while moving out of
Bangladesh.

A Brief Summary of Report :

Ananda hi Ananda Foundation organized a Chetna Pad Yatra(under Bharat Pad Yatra) on 21 to 25
June 2015 from Multai to Betul. The reason of foot march was to understand the real problem of
farmers and to introduce villages to our arts and culture, this are the two things which are the
legacy of Indian village. Provide motivation to the farmers with new ideas of farming. It also helps
to create a dialog with farmers. The Foundation is based on the idea’s of founder Vivekji.
The Foot March Chetna Pad Yatra(under Bharat Pad Yatra) was started from the Maa Tapti river
Multai and ended in Betul covering all the villages of the district. Footmarch covered around 27
villages i.e Narkhed, Prabhat Pattan, Massod, Bisnor, Atner, Dhamangaon, Gudgaon, Bhaisdehi,
Jhaalar, Kheri Sawaligarh, Chicholi, Paadhar, Shahpur, Bhawra, Banjar, Dhal, Narayanpur,
Dharampur, Nischitpur, Chopna, Saliwada, Shivsagar, Ghoda Dongari, Baghdona, Kalimai, Patha-
Kheda ,Sarni. The major problems was farmers and youth were unable to enhance themselves
because they were not getting any facilities or unaware of Govt. Schemes and Plan.
Acharya Saint Viveji spoke to the people of villages and recognize that they are not getting any
help from any Government Departments. The summary given below will give a full picture of the
Betul District and also includes the plan and suggestion to improve their condition.
Summary of Report:
 Farming requires water and its important to have ample water for farmers, this should be
seen everywhere.

 The school in which the program is help is in such a bad shape and in this bad shape I
don’t know how our kinds can study. The school is leaking and infrastructure is not there,
if we want our kids to study better we need to provide basics amenities else our youth will
not go to school.
 If girls education has to be taken seriously we need to have schools near by for our young
girls else they will be devoid of education. Talie Dam need to be developed so that
beneficial for Farmers.
 The problem with hospital and doctors presence is severe it unethical for the medical
professionals not to do their duty. A team of youth should be trained to know their rights
and they should inform district administration regarding this when they find it out.
 Education is right of every kid, right to education bill by Government of India gives us that
right now the requirement is that schools and college also start looking about the
problems of distance covered by a youth to reach.

Conclusion:
It was discovered that our villages are lacking behind and are not introduced to the new
improved technology. A dialog should be created between the villages so that they must get
aware of new techniques of farming.
One of the major economic issues faced by the country is agriculture as this is the sector which is
source of livelihood for about 54% of Indians till date. Still today this sector is not well developed
and faces lots of problems resulting into low productivity of crops.
As 43% of land in India, is used for farming but contributes only 18% of the nation’s GDP. The
poor condition of agriculture in the country is the point of concern for Indians. The rural farmers
in India suffer from poverty and most of them are illiterate so there is lack of good extension
services.
