it's now an important part of Mozillas mobile strategy
Firefox OS is installed on 17 smartphone models all over the world
most new devices are shipping with Firefox OS v2.0 installed
OEM partners will be aggressively forced to use the latest releases only
Firefox OS v2.2 was Feature Complete at end of April and should be shipped with
devices soon
v2.2 will be maintained as a long-lived branch with security and stability updates
only
Firefox OS v3.0 is mostly stable and usable by now (but more about this later)
