Contrary to popular belief, the ultimate goal of alchemy was not to turn odd metals into gold, but rather to discover the truth, to purify & distil things into its perfect or purest form – the absolute goal of this process was supposed to be the attainment of knowledge, wisdom and the elixir of life.
