3. The patron of our school is Agnieszka Osiecka (1936-
1997). She was polish poetress, songwriter, writer,
theater and tv director, journalist. She wrote over 2000
songs - lyrics mainly for Polish singer Maryla Rodowicz.
She is considered one of the most important, prolific
and gifted persons in postwar Polish culture and

4. Liceum Ogólnokształcące nr XVII im Agnieszki Osieckiej
is a high school. It is located in one of the most beautiful
cities in Poland - Wrocław. Students apart from having
interesting lessons can develop their personal areas of
interest by taking part in a diversity of activities which
the school offers to them every year. The students
attend classes that expand their knowledge and skills
on advanced level of different subjects. After
graduation from high school the students choose to
study their core subjects at colleges and universities.

5. Our school was founded in 1891 from initiative
two German politics, so the building of our
school is over 100 years old. High school was
created there 25 years ago so this year we have
the anniversary.

8. President of Poland in our school
On the 13th december 2006 our school visited
President of Poland Lech Kaczyński, who died in a
tragic plane crash few years later. It was a great
honour for our school that the head of the state
visited us.
