Promotional videos are made with a strategic goal in mind and often for a targeted audience.
Educational videos are purely for learning
Entertainment encapsulates everything from music, movie trailers, comedy to short films and games. They are the highest shared on social media.
Interactive video involves a whole new way of thinking about video content. It is the transformation of the traditional viewing experience from monologue to dialogue. This is where Kwickie have made their mark.
Who can forget this? it still holds the title for the most watched video with 2,809,544,452 views two billion eight hundred and nine million five hundred and forty four thousand, four hundred and fifty two views
Prior to June 28, 2015, only 2 videos, "Gangnam Style" and "Baby" Justin bieber, had reached this milestone, but less than 3½ months later, on October 7, 2015, 10 videos had done so.[3]

Video Marketing Mistakes to Avoid
#1 Don’t get hung up on length. But while it is true that attention spans are short and skip buttons are our worst nightmare, length is only one factor of the whole video creation process.
#2 Don’t compromise the message - and there's really no need! According to a huge study by Wistia, engagement is pretty steady up to 2 minutes.
This means that a 90 second video is just as capable of holding a viewer's attention as a 30 second video.
See this perfect example by Dove https://youtu.be/XpaOjMXyJGk
#2 Remember the buyer journey has a few stages: awareness, consideration, decision and reinforcement.
Awareness
When people are just becoming aware of your brand, they will be looking for the basics of what you do and who you are. Create short video to outline the benefits.

Decision making
Product videos like this one help customers to make purchase decisions because it is the closest they will get to essentially 'trying' the product before they buy it. .http://brightcove.vo.llnwd.net/e1/uds/pd/710857100001/710857100001_4967360713001_4967356153001.mp4?pubId=710857100001&videoId=4967356153001
Reinforcement
Excite your existing customers with great video content that they will feel encouraged to share with their friends and reduce buyers remorse!

The Dawn of Internet Video Marketing
In 2007 and 2008, production companies started posting full-length TV shows and movies on YouTube. There was a noticeable uptick in the number of product- or service-specific videos being uploaded. Meanwhile, Facebook integrated the ability to share links to videos elsewhere on the internet simply by pasting the link in a status update. This resulted in Facebook users seeing more of these marketing videos in their news feeds. In 2007, Facebook launched its own video player that allowed companies and individuals to launch their videos on the platform. This coincided with the social media platform’s launching of Facebook Pages for Businesses.
The Future of Video Marketing
Right now, YouTube is the second-largest search engine in the world and one of the main platform for reaching millennials and Generation Z. Why them?
It’s because a Google and IPSOS study showed that they spend 28% of their time online solely watching videos. Also, for 53% of mobile video sessions, video activity is all a person is doing. This means he or she is focused on the content.
Facebook Live
78% of businesses that have used Facebook Live said it was an effective marketing tool.
Instagram Video
85% of businesses that have used Instagram video said that it was an effective marketing tool.
Snapchat
88% of businesses that have used Snapchat said that it was an effective marketing tool.
Interactive Video
92% of businesses that have used Interactive video said that it was an effective marketing tool. Its fairly new marketing trend, but it's one that can be incredibly beneficial because it's tailored to the individual viewer.
