Bankruptcies 1999-2001 <ul><li>This slide was presented to my Department Manager and then to other staff who were interested in knowing about the Risk Management department and a bit about how we work. I created this myself. I have taken the actual figures out of this presentation but they had been worked out when I presented this to others. </li></ul>

  3. 3. 1999 Bankruptcy’s and Liquidations by the quarter Residential & Commercial In the 1 st quarter we had no Bankruptcies or Liquidations In the 2 nd quarter we had 1 Bankruptcies. In the 3 rd quarter we had 6 Bankruptcies In the last quarter we had 36 Bankruptcies.

  12. 12. <ul><li>In 1999 we had very few Bankruptcies as the Fraud and Litigation department had only been set up in August due to fraudulent use of our telephone service, and by the end of the year we had reached a staggering 43 Bankruptcies. </li></ul><ul><li>The figures continued to rise through to November and by December 1999 the figure dropped drastically to just 1 Bankruptcy. </li></ul><ul><li>The year 2000 started off badly, within the first month the numbers slowly crept up again and we reached 12 Bankruptcies for the month of January. </li></ul><ul><li>February, March, April & May we saw a drop in Bankruptcies with the total of all months being just 15. </li></ul><ul><li>However by the end of June on 2000, the figure jumped dramatically to 27, and stayed round that figure until the end of November 2000 when they slowed down to 17 in December, the highest amount of Bankruptcies for the months in between being 32 (August). </li></ul><ul><li>The year 2001 started slightly slower with there being only 9 Bankruptcies in January as from then the figure started to rise slowly, and by the end of May 2001 the figure had risen to 13 for the month, compared to the same time last year where there was only 4 Bankruptcies, a jump of 325% </li></ul><ul><li>I have calculated the cost of Bankruptcies since Day 1, and up to 10.07.01 we have potentially lost a staggering £ XXXXX.XX as calculated by the current balance. </li></ul><ul><li>The balance at last invoice figure as shown is £ XXXXX.XX . </li></ul><ul><li>We have received an amount of 8.8% for recovery which calculates at being a total of £ XXXX.XX . </li></ul>
