Accenture was originally named Andersen Consulting but changed its name in 2001 when it split from Arthur Andersen. The new name "Accenture" was chosen because the words "Acc-enture" and "Adv-enture" rhymed with each other and the "Ac" paid homage to Andersen Consulting. Accenture is a global professional services company that provides strategy, consulting, digital, technology and operations services. It has offices in over 200 cities across 53 countries and focuses on innovation, high performance, and incorporating improvements after acquisitions to deliver value to clients.
