3. About this unit
Examines the (additional) challenges confronting the global
business manager. Firstly explores
the vibrant and dynamic global business environment and the
opportunities and threats posed
by operating in a global environment; notably in political
economy and culture. Then turns to
the development of global business strategy, addressing
strategic management, entry strategies,
organisational design and the functional areas of marketing,
finance and human resource
management.

Welcome to, MNG00723, Global Business. We are sure you will
find this unit challenging and
at the same time rewarding.
The student workload for this unit is 150 learning hours.
However, as this is an average; you
may find yourself spending more or less time on this, depending
on your existing knowledge
and skills. This unit requires you to apply everyday business
concepts to the international
arena. It challenges you to consider situations outside the
normal scope of domestic business
and develop solutions and strategies to assist the international
business to compete in a
dynamic environment. You will need to undertake research into
many disciplines within
business studies and consider complex situations. In doing this
you will not only improve your
skills in the domestic market, but also identify opportunities
within the international
