This book contains a compilation of true events narrated by six (6)
veterans of the 1942 occupation or the Japanese commando conquest of
the Philippine islands, during the appalling World War II against the
Americans.
This also include collections of stories of historical events never been
written in history record books.
The authors acknowledge with gratitude the assistance of Prof. Roen
Caesar S. Cardinal in giving the privilege to write the unwritten values of
the past.

The Japanese Imperialist demonstrated conquest in the
Philippine Islands after the Fall of Bataan on April 9, 1942 where the
commander of US forces Major General Edward P. King surrendered the
fortress to the Japanese forces. The Japanese led their captives on a cruel
“Death March” from Bataan to San Fernando Pampanga.
This was followed by the Fall of Corregidor Islands where the
last fortress of the defense of the Filipino-American forces led by
USAFFE Commander-in-chief General Jonathan Wainwright surrendered
to General Homma, Commander-in-chief of the Japanese Imperial forces
on May 6, 1942.
And on October 14, 1943, the inauguration of the Japanese-
sponsored puppet Republic with Jose P. Laurel as President was first
observed.

The end of the Japanese occupation was held on September
2, 1945 after their surrender to the Allied Forces in Tokyo Bay
aboard by SS Missouri. It ended the war in the Asia Pacific.

The Japanese conquest was indeed one of the bloodiest
battle Filipinos had ever faced in the History. Many lives was lost
and faltered. Every remains of the domination relates to death and
fearsome events.
But even painful cuts closes and become scars. Filipinos survived
such appalling conquerors and some of them could only look back
at the image of the aftereffect.

significance of today. It is not pointless nor insignificant. It is
the foundation of what we are today, and the idea of what we
are in the past.
But not all historical happenings was recorded. Some of it
was never written, and some was never read.
