Meeting the new neighbours
Mr Collins and his family have just moved into a new house
and they are meeting their neighbour for the first time.
Mr Collins: Hello, may I introduce myself. My name is Jack and this is my daughter
Jane.
Neighbour: Hello, nice to meet you. I'm Steven. Do you like your new home?
Mr Collins: Yes, we are all very excited. My wife has just gone to do some shopping and
Jane is helping me with the garden tools.
Neighbour: And how old are you Jane?
Jane: I am twelve this year.
Neighbour: My son Jim is also twelve. He is now at school but you can meet him later.
Neighbour: Actually why don't you all come for a cup of tea, shall we say at six this
evening?
Mr Collins: Thank you, that will be very nice.
Neighbour: That's arranged then. Our wives can meet and Jane can meet Jim.
Mr Collins: See you at six then.
Neighbour: I'm looking forward to it.
