I was responsible for all in-house maintenance of a PFI contract in the new built wing of this Hospital.
My remit covered but was not limited to 31air handling units, chillers, Electrical, Mechanical,

Technical Engineering Manager
My duties consisted of leading a team of skilled maintenance artisans in a large 360 bed hospital in all
aspects of Electrical, Mechanical, Air Conditioning, and General Maintenance and all other building
services within the hospital complex. I was responsible for executing all soft upgrades and new work,

Standby/Emergency Cover Rota to give maximum maintenance coverage for the hospital. Member of
the Disaster Committee, Health and Safety Committee, assessment of staff, compiling monthly
reports, setting and compliance with departmental and capex budgeting. I maintained all personnel
files and documents and also headed up all technical buying whilst being the on-site Fire/Disaster Co-

Dec 1997 – Dec 2001 Armed Forces Hospital Southern Region, Saudi Arabia
Maintenance/Electrical Engineer
The Armed Forces Hospital Southern Region comprises of two acute hospital sites with 250 beds and
6 peripheral clinics. Leading a maintenance team of approximately 40 personnel. Managing the
operation and maintenance of all Electrical Mechanical, Air Conditioning and all other building
services within the hospital complex. Maintaining build fabric for all buildings within the hospital
complex. Executing all upgrading and new works as delegated by the Chief Engineer. Ensuring
compliance with the Facilities Safety Policy for all work carried out within the hospital complex.

due regard to the high cost of spares. Coaching and Training personnel including the Saudi Military in
