Monday 9th September Blog created on wordpress.com
Learned how to create a good front cover, contents page and
double page for magazine.
Read over and looked at last years coursework for ideas on how
to create a “good”, magazine.
Monday 16th September This week I have completed my work on pages 10 and 13 on the
logbook.

2. I have started editing my blog page and have made Mr Crafts an
admin of my page.
We have looked and I understand the 3 theories.
Monday 23rd September I have made my survey using survey monkey and I have sent it
out hoping to receive 10 replies by 4th October.
I have started my Preliminary front cover’s conventions and
layout.
Finished my audience profile and sent it off for scanning.
I have started my preliminary front cover and learnt a lot more
about how to use Photoshop’s tools.
I now know how to use the ‘Grab’ tool to screenshot my progress.
Monday 30th September This week we went to the academy class in London where we
learned a lot more tips about photoshop. Trained by Tony
Harmer
I received my responses for both survey and questionnaire and
have completed them.
I have been creating my front cover page by adding bar codes,
social networks, main image, strapline and main headline.
Still need to finish completing my cover lines.
Monday 7th October This lesson I finally finished my Preliminary front cover, I
completed all of the conventions on my checklist.
Monday 14th October I started to create my contents page this lesson.
Completed my hand drawn draft of my contents page including
all conventions.

3. I plan to complete my editorial by Monday next week, and
hoping to get some other conventions completed.
I also need to gather up some supporting images for my front
cover.
Monday 21st October In todays lesson I carried on adding conventions to my contents
page by duplicating layers from my front page such as the
masthead.
I created my editorial for my contents page which tells the
reader who I am and what to expect in my magazine.
I have a picture for my editorial added to my contents.
I have also uploaded my signature to my editorial.
I have been completing my contents page. I have only cover lines
to complete.
I have completed all corrections on my front cover page.
Half Term
Monday 4th November I completed my contents page and my planning and research
powerpoint.
This lesson (6th November) I have been brainstorming names for
my music magazine. I still have to finalize my name for my
magazine name.

4. I am now starting my draft front cover based on a music
magazine called XXL.
Monday 11th November I have started my Main task front cover this lesson (13th
November).
I have completed half of the conventions needed to complete my
front cover.
The conventions that I have completed are barcode, date, issue,
price, web address, social media, puff and masthead.
I have continued with my Main task front cover this double
lesson and have completed my headline, strapline.
I have also been looking at the design and layout of my front
cover when compared with the magazine of inspiration.
Monday 18th November I’ve been completing my front cover again this lesson, finishing
off the headline.
Changing and editing font styles for my masthead and stories.
Placed in a couple appropriate cover stories to fit with my genre.
Planning to take picture and upload them on Friday.
Monday 25th November Today is the deadline for the main task front cover, I have placed
in my front cover picture and edited it to look good.
I have been editing the background of my cover and have
changed it to red to stand out.
I have started with my Contents page by adding small
conventions to it.
I have dragged conventions from my front cover and preliminary

I have added conventions such as signature, masthead, puff,
website and page number.
I also finished my hand drawn draft for my contents page.

Been completing the layout of my contents page by using the
ruler tool. ,
Monday 2nd December I have started my contents page now that I have finished layering
out the page. I have added conventions such as barcode,
masthead and adding my signature.
I have also been revising my media exam case studies.
Monday 9th December I’ve been adding more images to my contents page and have
been editing my cover stories
Monday 16th December I have completed my Contents Page and might need to do more
adjustments when I get corrections back.
Christmas Holidays
Monday 6th January I have started Main take double page spread.
I have finished and handed in my main task double page spread
draft.
I have also started adding in some codes and conventions into
my double page.
Monday 13th January I have been adding more conventions to my double page.

6. I have completed duplicating all of my conventions I wanted
from my contents page such as the page number and masthead.
I have also made the columns in which my interview questions
will go into.
I have copy and pasted my 10 question answer interview into my
double page.
I also created a drop cap to make it stand out a little bit more and
start off my interview.
Monday 20th January This coursework lesson I have been editing my double page
interview. At the start of the lesson I had been given feedback to
change a few colors, which has improved my work to make it
stand out.
I am re-structuring my columns where my interview have been
placed in.
I have re-structured because I don’t want to reinvent the wheel,
so I will create a quote in the middle of my interview page.
Monday 27th January I have completed my double page spread and have been given
back my corrections to complete.
Still working on correcting my contents page in terms of adding
more pictures and changing fonts.
Monday 3rd February Working on finishing off my corrections of my double page
spread.
I have learnt to effectively change the brightness and contrast of
an image.

7. Monday 10th February This week I have finished my double page corrections and
content page corrections.
Half Term
Monday 24th February I am working on my blog page to try and complete it by the
deadline
I have been correcting my logbook PowerPoint when needed. I
have also been adding a few features to my blog page.
This lesson (Friday) I have been completing my PowerPoint
corrections even more.
Adding the survey results to the PowerPoint.
Monday 3rd March Started my evaluation and have successfully completed
questions 1-2 of my 7 questions
I am starting to create another survey for feedback on my 4
magazine pages.
I am still currently uploading evidence onto my blog page.
Monday 10th March I have completed questions 3 and 4 of my evaluation
I have sent out my survey monkey for feedback on the pages.
Monday 17th March I have finished uploading all my main task pages onto the blog
page and am currently aiming to finish the evaluation soon.
I have also completed question 5 and 6 of my evaluation.
Monday 24th March I have now questions 7 to do for my evaluation and then I can
complete the uploading of my coursework.
I have completed my evaluation and have uploaded it onto my
blog using Prezi.

8. I have uploaded many other files onto blog page such as
Audience feedback and my preliminary and main task draft
pages.
31st March Throughout this week I have been completing many pieces of
work so I can then upload onto blog page.
I have uploaded my Final Survey monkey which is related to my
evaluation.
