1. Exchange restore procedure in DATA PROTECTOR
EXCHANGE RESTORE:
If there is any restore from exchange server. We need route the ticket to the exchange
team to get the below details with the below update:
Hi Team,
We kindly request you to please update the following details
Server name:
Storage group:
Mail box store:
RSG path:
TEMP path:
Date of restore:
The exchange team will reroute the ticket with all the details. Execute the restore and
route the ticket again to the exchange team. Exchange team will retrieve the data and
check with the user, close the ticket
NOTE: Backup Tower should not close the exchange restore tickets.
The exchange team will update the details and route the tickets.
The RSG has been recreated on FRTEF-EX02
Storage group: FRCER-EX01-SG1MS1
Mail box store: SG1MS1
Date of restore:10/12/08
RSG created on
Target FRTEF-EX02G:RSG
Temp FRTEF-EX02RSGTEMP
1) select the source server from Restorems exchange server

2. 2) select the storage group and mail store
We need to restore the mail store and log.
Right click on the requested SG MS and click the properties
Select the requested date

3. Need to do the same for log file also
3) need to select the destination server and need to give the temp path

4. select the option tab to give the destination server and temp path
In the give example we are going to restore to different server.
No need to give the RSG destination .only temp path is enough

5. Once you did all the changes. check and device status and media and start the restore.
Execute the restore and route the ticket again to the exchange team. Exchange team will
retrieve the data and check with the user, close the ticket
