New possibilities are emerging from a variety of countries, people, technologies and methods that contain early seeds of potential significant transformation throughout the region. These early seeds are the seeds of new capacities, and communities – enabled by: * Creativity, * Community, * Entrepreneurship and * Education.

11. الدكتورة منى فياض كاتبة وأستاذة جامعية في علم النفس الجمهورية اللبنانية "هناك مشكلة أساسية تعاني منها مجتمعاتنا، وهي تشكل مسألة محورية فيما يتعلق بقصور هذه المجتمعات وهي حرية الفكر، إضافة إلى مسألة حرية الحصول على المعلومات. يبدو اننا نعاني في عالمنا العربي من تعميم المنع ومن صعوبة أساسية في التوصل إلى إمكانية الحصول وتبادل المعلومات، إذ هناك خوف من إعطاء المعلومات أن عبر الإحصائيات أو عبر المقابلات الحرة والمفتوحة. هذا بالإضافة إلى صعوبة الوصول إلى الشبكات العلمية العالمية والنقص في استخدام أدوات الاتصال البحثية. ذلك كله يساهم في تأخر الإنتاج الفكري وإفقاره أو يعيد إنتاج فكر وأبحاث تتسم بالشمولية والعمومية". "إن الإبداع ليس مجرد موهبة شخصية فالعبقرية الفردية لا تكفي لتفسير الإبداع على مستوى ثقافة معينة أو حضارة. إذ نجد أن بين العصور الذهبية لحضارة ما فجوات طويلة أو عصور ظلام يركد فيها الإبداع الثقافي. لذا علينا البحث في الأسباب العامة والتي تطال مختلف جوانب الحياة في مجتمع ما لتفسير دينامية الإبداع أو عدمها".

The project is seeded initially by MIT faculty members and by partnering with educators in Jordan and in Pakistan”. “This presentation will describe the BLOSSOMS pedagogical approach, the goals, the video module details, and will demonstrate some of the video modules produced”. “In particular, this presentation will highlight the Jordanian BLOSSOMS experience during the development and implementation phases”.
