5 Tips for Using Stories in Learning
1. Keep your stories realistic
2. Focus on behaviours that you want to develop
3. Make your story interactive where possible
4. It can take time to script and build - don’t overcomplicate the story – try
to keep to 3 decisions
5. Look for story opportunities throughout the entire organisation

Any questions?
1. Identify where storytelling could be used to great effect in
your learning and development interventions.
2. Select the most appropriate storytelling technique based
on your learning outcomes and resources.
3. Use a simple storytelling structure to help you craft and
deliver your learning stories.
