The answer is, we actually already do. We pay for our taxis, buy our morning coffees, pay for our McDonalds meals and use public transport – but we do all this through different applications or functions and there doesn’t seem to be an obvious solution that can handle it all. The solution is a system that can handle all of these activities in the same place.
(SEQR’s mission is to be the answer to that. Through one application you are able to make payments, collect loyalty points for all different retailers and at the same time also have your receipts neatly filed in the same place.)
So what’s missing? Why have we not seen the numbers predicted 5 years ago? Well, there is no lack of effort but most innovations do not really solve consumer AND merchant needs

Mastercard based solution being live only in online environment (QR code based).
Recently they announced launching of a partnership with Expressoft (one of the ECR SW provider for HORECA) and presented a DEMO where QR code is printed on the bill and the user scans it with MobilPay app and make the payment.
The solution for offline it is not yet commercially launched - probably there are some pilots.
advantages: opened for all MC irrespective the bank
disadvantages: card based - higher fees, not yet deployed
ING Wallet
ING is one of the best bank in Romania
ING did a partnership with RBC ( Wincor Nixdorf dealer in Romania). RBC copied our solution.
RBC is quite present in media saying that they will launch ING Wallet, that they are in discussions with main Retailers ( most of them are using WN). ING did not make any PR.
RBC is blocking us to get an integration offer from Wincor Nixdorf
ING Wallet it is not launched yet, it will be card based and a QR code will be stick at the cash register.
ING meets all our SEQR retailers and SW providers and proposes them contracts.Frustrating!
advantages: opened for all cards, irrespective the bank, partnership with RBC ( we need to push though a retailer and from Seamless HQ to get a frame agreement with WN)
disadvantages: card based - higher fees, not yet launched.
