The University of Washington Department of Communication's Flight Instructor (FI) is transforming how students experience higher education. The FI core philosophy, honed at the department’s Communication Leadership graduate program, is simple: Let Students Lead. The FI believes that the relationships all students build during school are as important as building knowledge. This talk will feature stories about the role, mindset behind the position, and best practices for students taking flight.
