  2. We recently deepened our brain science with the addition of Confidence Based Learning functionality. When Axonify learners go through their bite-sized learning sessions, they must select their confidence level when answering a question. The process encourages the learner to consider their answer a 2nd time, as well as it elicits an emotional reaction - proven to increase long-term retention. Not only does research demonstrate that confidence-based assessment in learning increase long-term retention, but when correlated, confidence and knowledge are critical determinants in evaluating future performance. There are essentially 4 quadrants that learners fit into. Masters – Employees who know the facts and are not afraid to use them. Doubters – Individuals who know their facts, but may not have the confidence to act without hesitation. Misinformed – People who confidently believe incorrect information. Uninformed – People who have not yet acquired all of the knowledge they need, but know they don’t know it yet. The Axonify system reports back to you re. who fits in what category and how you can coach them accordingly. Other supporting research points – A University of Illinois 2003 study conducted by Dr. Darwin Hunt identified that by using a confidence-bases assessment and learning methodology that students had 15-20% more effective knowledge acquisition and retention than traditional learning methodologies A law academy has shown the average pass rate on certification exams go from 79% passing to 100% pass rate when employee confidence assessment utilized
