and largest city.

remarkable tourist attractions,
but also is indicative of great
beauties, such as mountains,
rivers for rafting,crystal clear sea
water…

4. The Parthenon
Moreover a great deal of fame is attributed
to this country on the grounds of its
significant architectural ancestry.

Greece, located in
Macedonia. It belongs to the
region of Central
Macedonia.
Its capital is Edessa.

13. The Spa of Pozar
Loutraki
In a remote past, the area was characterized
by intense volcanic activity, which led to today’s
presence of mineral water springs. The rich
healing
properties of the water flowing out from six
thermal springs are due to the steady
temperatures ranging from 30 to 37 degrees
Celsius throughout the year, as well as to
the water’s special chemical elements.

16. Our home village: Kali

17. Kali
Kali is a
village of Pella,whice is
located a
few kilometers away fr
om Skydra. It is a rural
village and its
residents deal mainly
with the cultivation and
harvesting of
agricultural products.

its name from
the ancient city Meniida w
hich was on the hill "Iron
Gates", 3.5 kms north of
Kali. The ancient city was
built beside the river and
next to Almopaio ancient
roadcommunication of
Lower Macedonia Almopi

19. Eventually the village was found. The name of
this Kalinitsa. The village was then inhabited by
Turkish families and few indigenous locals and some
families Vlach. Once Angelochorites arrived in their
new village trying to find houses to set up their
households. Then commandeered Turkish
houses were built with bricks and after the Turks were
forced to stay in a small part of the village, the
rest occupied by Thracians. The
local indigenous people then, which numbered about 20
families lived in a neighborhood in the southeastern
edge of the village.

20. Our village got its present name in 1935. Until then
called Kalinitsa. In 1922, followed the exchange of
populations between Greece and Turkey. The inhabitants
were made to leave their homes in Minor Asia, Thrace and
Pontos ( Black See ).
Residents of Aggelochori, a village in Eastern Thrace,
boarded a ship and after a week's journey, they had a
week stay at the port of Thessaloniki. After a few days stay
there, they set off to Vertikop, today Skydra. Where they
remained until they found the village to accommodate
them.

21. A particularly striking feature of the inhabitants of our
region, are the dances. From the first year of the relocation
of our grandsire Kalinitsa, dances were held in the village
square. In the place which is now the Church of the Holy
Cross was a huge old tree. So the dances and all the
events on days of celebration and not
only given underneath this tree.
At the same coffee shop, remember, it arrived and the
first radio in 1938.Until 1948 it was celebrated in our
area and "Mandolin" where girls of the
village playing mandolin in several events.
