3. What is Chiropractic Health Care
Chiropractic is a method of health care that includes
diagnosis and treatment of certain illnesses and injury
allowing the body to heal naturally. Doctors of Chiropractic
(DC’s) commonly called 'Chiropractors' have extensive
professional education, are required to maintain continuing
education and must keep a current license in the state they
practice. Doctors of Chiropractic use diagnostic techniques
similar to those of medical physicians however Chiropractic
treatment does not include the use of medications and
surgery.
Chiropractors view the body as having the ability to heal naturally. While Doctors of
Chiropractic acknowledge the fact that many illnesses are caused by infections and toxic
causes, Chiropractors focus on ailments from abnormal structural alignments which
interfere with normal nerve function. The Chiropractor's goal is to relieve pressure and
interference of the nervous system so the body can heal itself.
Often times, Doctors of Chiropractic use a procedure known as a “Chiropractic
Adjustment”. Reducing spinal nerve stress and correcting the body’s structure (skeletal,
muscular and neurological) with the Chiropractic Adjustment can improve health and
relieve pain making the patient feel more comfortable. Muscular issues are treated by
using physiotherapy modalities such as ultrasound, electric muscle stimulation, massage,
traction, hot/cold therapies, exercise and more.

5. Chiropractic Services
Back and Rehab Clinic and Dr. Litle offer full-service
Chiropractic care in both Bozeman and Townsend, Montana
locations.
Listed below are some of the common conditions treated:
Rotator Cuff Injuries (shoulder injury)
involves the tendons of the four small muscles that make up
the rotator cuff. Their job is to maintain the alignment of the
ball and socket joint of the shoulder. Injury can be a strain of
a tendon, which will respond to our care which would
include therapies such as friction massage, ice, ultrasound as
well as resistance exercises. More serious injury could have
a partial to complete tear of a tendon. If a tear is suspected,
an MRI is necessary to fully evaluate injury and may require
referral to an orthopedic surgeon.
Muscle Spasms
This is an involuntary tightening or contraction of a muscle or group of muscles. These
maybe from the muscle itself or commonly is a response (symptom) of other injury or
problem such as a joint subluxation or disc protrusion. Our examination help to determine
the cause of the spasm and determine treatment approach.
